SFStL Help

The wife and I are thinking of going to SFStL this coming weekend and I have a couple of questions. We usually Priceline our hotel so we can't pick specific hotels but rather areas. So, what's a good area to stay in? Also, what kind of crowds can we expect on a Saturday and Sunday?

Thanks, all.

Sat. is fairly crowded all day, Sunday will be light in the morning, and will be moderate after 1 pm depending on weather. There are several hotels in Eureka (town where Six Flags is located) that are decent. There is a Ramada directly across the street from SF that is very nice, but kind of pricey. There is a Super 8 about half mile from the park. There is a Holiday Inn Express in Pacific ( about 5 miles west) There is also a HI Express and a Peartree Inn in Fenton( about 10 miles east of the park). Other smaller non chain hotels are also close to the park, and another option would be Kirkwood or south county. Avoid the airport area or the city of St.Louis. Too far to drive, and not the best areas! Enjoy your stay in St.Louis

Sat. 18th is Christian Family Day. I would reccomend avioding that day, crowds are expected to be large. Sun. 19th should be a slow day since all the locals families will be scrambling to get last minute things done since school starts mon. 20th.
