SfStL 9/9

Associated parks:
None

There were so many highlights in this trip, and I don't want to go into great detail. This was one of my favorite trips yet. It featured myself, coastering buddy Chris, coastering buddy Nick, and newcomer Cash. Cash isn't an enthusiast so he learned plenty of jargon on this trip. Anyway on with the ratings.

I will throw out the Griswold scale and use the good ol' 1-10.

The Park:
Food was way over priced. $5.25 for a sport bottle and $2.50 for refills. OUCH. That's not it, tax with it. Other than the steep prices, I couldn't find a thing to complain about. The park is beautiful. There is plenty a' room to expand. If all 6 Flags parks are like this, I don't see why people complain. Don't quote me, but we saw some red stuff from the ferris wheel. There was never a stacking problem on any rides for those who care.

The Boss 9.5
uh whoa. That sums it up. The new #1 woody spanks the old #1 woody (Villain) 10x's over. The ride is awesome. It's sheer length and height is amazing. The amazing drops and turns and the sweetest ending to a coaster ever make the ride almost perfect. Those *** lap bars hurt when we slammed into turns. We hit The Boss first and were first ones in the station. Naturally, we went to the back. Cash and I picked up the very last seat as Nick and Chris got infront of us. They didnt test it at all in the morning. We were the first train of the day. Boy, it was smooth as glass. We walked all the way down the longest exit and all the way up the longest entrance and rode very front seat. We waited 5 minutes. I sat next to Chris and Nick and Cash filled in behind. I bought the on-ride photo of us giving The Nipple and we went on our way.

Mr. Freeze back:8.5 front:7
Mr. Freeze is one awesome coaster. The back is very smooth but towards the front its gets kinda rough, but it's definately bearable. The top-hat is outta this world.
Wow, I was actually at SFSL on the 9th.

You build it, I'll ride it
I was at SFStl about 8 years ago so Boss, Mr. Freeze, and Batman:TR were not there at the time. I liked the layout alot but there wasnt enough for me to consider it a great park. But since they have added 3 coasters I am sure I would love it. Hey Punk, do yourself a favor and visit SFGAm. Than you will realize how an SF park is supposed to be operated and the original Batman is one intense invert.

Hey, Punk...Glad you had a good time. I definitely agree on your opinions on The Boss, Batman and Mr. Freeze. Their Batman clone is probably the worst. I walked off wondering what went wrong.
SFStL's batman was the first one I rode on, so it's good to hear that they get better.

First off, SFStL is my home park, and I TOTALLY agree about the over priced food. I mean, 2.50 for a 20 oz. bottle of coke? But what are you talking about, Ninja better than Batman? Are you crazy?! Sorry, I don't mean to sound rude, but Batman is great, and IMO it's better than Raptor. I found Raptor somewhat slow and unintense. Also, Batman is the best looking of the Batman clones, seeing as how the others are covered in 2 inches of rust. But I'm not here to judge, so I'll let you have your opinion. Oh, and by the way, it's Screamin' Eagle, not Screechin.

-SFStLMan
mullets are haircuts that hill jacks have. It must take a lot to please you because Raptor is the only B&M invert I'll ride.

CP, SFO, HP, BGW, PKI, SFStL
Hey, my name's Chris... I'm the one that who's dad took us on this trip. I agree with Mike (punk) overpriced food, B:TR was so boring I had a frown on my face riding it after we waited in line for it, and yesterday I rode Raptor. There is no way it equals up. Plenty of Mullets (if lost visit www.mulletsgalore.com) and the Boss, Mr.Freeze, and Screechin' Eagle (technical term) made the trip stand out.

"MF Tickler Hill"
Well, Batman isn't the most intense ride ever made, but it is MUCH more intense than Raptor. The way you talk, you are just trying to find a way to put down a coaster that's smaller than Raptor. Bigger isn't better.(I'll make an exception in the case of MF) I also saw where you asked if they forgot to add something to Batman. Once again, you're just trying to put it down because it's smaller than Raptor. Just face it, not EVERY coaster at CP is better than everywhere else. I'm not trying to act like a jerk, I just hate it though when people put down rides at certain parks, SFStL being a prime example, just because it isn't as big or doesn't get as much publicity as other parks.

Well, whatever. I've been on every B&M inverted layout in this country except Top Gun at PGA. My fav inverted is Montu. I love the pacing, the elements...everything seems to flow so perfectly together. My least favorite inverted is Batman. I'm not sure if it's because I've been riding it since 1992 or if it's because it's so short, but I just prefer every other B&M invert to Batman.

I think my rankings of B&M inverts would be:

Montu
Fire Dragon
Raptor
Top Gun at PC
Great Bear
Ice Dragon
Alpengiest
Batman

I love every one of them, but the last three are not in the same category as the first four.
I think the greatest misconception among people is that if a coaster is a person't least favorite from a designer then it must be a bad coaster. Case in point is that a lot of people think Wild Thing at Valleyfair number three in the Cedar Fair Hypercoaster Trilogy. (the others being Mamba and Steel Force) Wild Thing is still a great coaster, its just that the other two are awesome.

If anyone is confused give a shout out and I'll try and explain.

They really need to boost up on the coaster total though.
