SFOT's Shockwave closed?

I was on Six Flags' website and it said that the shockwave is closed. Does anyone have any info. on this? Do they post temporary closings ordinarily or is SFOT about to take it out?
It was damaged during flooding at the end of June. It is supposed to be repaired after they go back to weekend only operation (this week) and could be closed for the remainder of the year.

SFoT is NOT going to take out Shockwave unless it becomes ABSOLUTELY unsalvageable. While the flooding WAS quite bad and did erode a lot of the ground surrounding the footers, I expect that the park will do *everything* they can do to have the ride up and running as soon as they can determine that the footers are STABLE and intact.

Shockwave is a marquis attraction for the park, even after ALL these years...highly visible, draws crowds, and is an AWESOME ride to boot. The finest Anton I've ridden (even though Mindbender is my baby)...;)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

Rollergator, I agree that Shockwave is an outstanding coaster. I used to live in Louisiana and we would go over to SFOT every summer in the late seventies/eighties to ride it, JRS and the runaway mine train back when they were the only major coasters in the park. I completely forgot about the flood that they had. I also couldn't imagine them taking out Shockwave. I live in Atlanta now and am able to enjoy Mindbender, but would love to make it back to DFW and SFOT, my sentimental favorite.
The park ceased daily operation Sunday, and just as promised work has begun on Shock Wave. There is a lot of activity around the footings, but I've yet to see any heavy equipment brought in. I'm not sure why they couldn't do what they are currently doing while the park was open daily.

They are hoping to have it open in time for Lone Star Coasterthon, even though it isn't scheduled for ERT.

Oh, and for the record (even though they screwed it up on the SF website announcement) our Shock Wave (the original) is two words. :)

rollergator: Interesting, as most people claim the SFOG ride to be better. That's the only one I have ridden so I can't offer an opinion... which makes your opinion all the more interesting!
I haven't seen it for myself, but word on the street has it that Shockwave was back in service today.
Shockwave did open this weekend. I would have never believed it.
Sure did.
