SFOT under water?

I just heard on CBS Radio News, SFoT is closed because of flooding. Anyone know anymore?
I've heard there was substantial flooding in Arlington that led to rescue crews having to help people out of flooded areas.

Check the slide show! Titan and Texas Giant are now water rides dude...

It was stormy at the end of our day at SFOT earlier this month. I remember looking at the little river that flows under Shockwave and thinking "wonder if that ever floods?".

OMG, I'm a CreHo.

Did it just happen all of a sudden?? Wonder when the park will reopen, is there any damage, and how much will it cost??
Not really any answers until the water subsides. The park is scheduled to reopen tomorrow at 10AM as planned, but of course that could change. I'll try to keep everyone posted.
Looking at the pictures of Texas Giant it looks like each one of those supports is going to need to be inspected and most likely replaced. Looks like Judge Roy Scream made it through okay.
Yeah, Texas Giant is going to have some issues, particularly if that water stays around for any length of time. I was pretty shocked to see a part of Titan underwater as well...

I'd be willing to bet the park will be closed tomorrow. *** Edited 6/30/2004 1:20:19 AM UTC by slowmotion***

I think the entire state's going to be underwater if it doesn't stop raining soon... cripes.

Cool! Giant's got a splashdown now.

And yeah there are some really low parts of Titan that collect water even on a normal rain much less massive flooding.

I've always wondered about those "water splashes" on the wooden roller coasters in RCT... Now I know! ;)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
I saw the pictures on the Today Show this morning. For those of you who wonder why Camper Village at Cedar Point does not allow tent camping...just imagine those pictures of SFOT but picture a bunch of tents on the midway...under 2 feet of water.

THAT is why there is no tent camping on the Cedar Point peninsula.
