Yeah, I noticed this when I was at SFoT on the 16th, but I don't think that the one at SFStL is getting a new paint job seeing how I haven't heard anyone say anything about it.
Personally, I like the new colors, but I've heard a few complaints about. *** Edited 12/21/2006 3:17:54 AM UTC by Matthew Engel***
I like the dark blue, but the red just sceams Superman. I'd go with light blue rails on a dark blue structure. Although the old color scheme was good for the theme, it never looked good on its own merit.
I imagine they're giving it a Superman theme. It happened to the drop tower at SF St. Louis, so I imagine it would happen again (and at that park, too).
Definitely looks like a superman ride. But isn't it that chain's goal to name every coaster some non-distinct "superhero:the>insert uncreative adjective< ride" name?
I don't know about all of you, but when I think "freeze", the first color that comes to mind is red. Followed closely by orange and then yellow. Good move, Six Flags.
Why didn't they just make it a more shocking blue then? They would have to theme too much to make it Flash, or Robin. They do want to have bad guy characters in there park still. So, I don't see why they want to dump a Mr. Freeze ride unless it's nowhere near Batman.
Maybe they're going to do away with Gotham City and expanded the ever-disappearing Good Times Square into that area. The colors would sort of fit.
Wishful thinking but I'd love to see it happen. Hell, I'd be happy if they would just made the damn thing quieter. It gives me a headache walking by it especially by the mine trains. And that's before I even ride it!
Ilovthevu' said: They already have a Superman ride (a S&S I think).
Yeah we do, it actually looks nice with the green lighting for Holiday in the Park. I didnt realize the park had the capcity for creativity until HIP rolled around.
Lighting changes, so simple, yet always so effective.
