Well I had a great time at the park and the coasters were great. here is a 1 to 10 scale
Texas Giant- Such a great ride but bruatal also! My friend who liked it so much in 1999 hates it now because he says its like a completey different ride and now has no respect for it anymore. I thought it was the best wood coaster Ive been on though 10 out of 10.
Titan- A let down. the first 2 drops are good but the rest is just alot of spinning that made my head want to explode! the brakes are on to hard to and the drop after it was slow just like the TG both rides we came to a complete stop for a few seconds. 7 out of 10.  Ill ride it some time in the next few years and give it another go.
Mr. Freeze-Wow!! This ride was sweet! Almost better than TG! The launch was incredible and the vertical spike ruled! It was not as rough as I thought it would be. 10 out of 10.
Judge Roy Scream- The best family coaster I have ridden. Bill Cobb thee master! Airtime all over it good speed, and very smooth. May take you a while to find the entance, and why was there no line?! Does nobody appreciate the classics anymore?!? MAKES ME SICK! 10 out of 10
Shockwave- A great ride and I love the freedom of no over the shoulder restraints. the airtime is strong two. I almost passed out on the 2nd loop. 9 out of 10
Mine Train-good ride decent airtime but what the hell is that whistel sound?! it is so annoying! otherwise good ride 7 out of 10
Runaway Mountain- The best dark ride ive been on. I love the diving drops it was great only thing is the voice at the begining when boarding that goes like this :ooooooohh there Im Gator Mige This here ma mountain. it gets annoying when in line. Those poor ride ops! 10 out of 10
Mini Mine train- well I rode it for the count and it ended up being pretty decent. I like how it goes under Freeze ok Kiddie ride 5 out of 10
Batman- it was good but if line is outside building head over two Freeze. This ride is a clone but a good one, it is smooth and VERY fast almost past out again! 8 out of 10
overall the park was great the food was um........BIG! and the crowds were very friendly a big difference from SFNE. I recommend you check it out but Titan is not worth a 50 min wait or up.

Yes, finally a little respect for the Giant. IMO it's tied for the best woodie I've ridden, Ghostrider being the other. I'm glad you had a good time, but it's too bad Titan let you down. Goliath is a great ride, but the turns really can give you a headache. Oh yes, and well deserved respect for Mr. Freeze.
No problem, those are the best 2 rides in the park. TG was most definetly the most intense wood coaster ever. The end was amazing.
Yeah I always had a hunch that SFoT was an awesome park and you just confirmed it.  It's also conviently located next to Arlington stadium- how cool is that?  Anyway I would LOVE to go to this park sometime soon.

sigh, SFNE goes "tiny" for 2001
What do you mean the food is "BIG"?

Anyway, I agree with your ratings except for Titan. I think Titan is awesome and easily the best ride at the park. I rode it before the brakes were turned up and it ruled. But, of course, you have to like intense helices to like the Titan. The reaction of just about everyone I've ever ridden with thought it was awesome.

BTW, now that Titan is back to it's full efficency after the modifications were made, the lines on Titan tend to move very quickly. People wont't have to wait more than 45 mins to ride, even on a crowded day.

And, yes, it is worth it for ride on this massive hypercoaster.

Your right about Mr. Freeze though.

TITAN RULES!

what I mean is the cheeseburgers were huge compared to any burger you would find around New England same goes for the larger than life hot dogs! If  your from Texas and you ever come down to NE you will see what I mean.
see thing is about Titan is that I prefer drops like the Superman at SFNE rather than just a consant zero airtime spinning motion seems to give me a headache everytime. was my friend right about TG has it changed since then?
I watched them build Texas Giant back in 89. It has changed a lot with age. It got so rough for a while that even I had trouble riding it. However, the ride has been re-tracked and now rides smoother that in the past few years, but TG has always been an intense ride, a MAN's ride.

I love the intense helices on Titan, I also love the air on the first drop and bunny hill. S:Ros will not fit at SFoT, there simply isn't enough room. I suppose they could put one in across the street on the vacant land that SFoT owns. For the time being we'll have to make do with Titan.

But your right, S:ROS is one awesome ride and still angry that SFoT couldn't get one. But we might get a giga for our 50th in another 10 years though!

Another Texas Giant fan here!  SFoT rocks!  I am so glad I was able to spend 3 days there this summer.

I can see how Titan (or Goliath) would not be for everyone, I loved it!  SFoT gives "the big 2" (you know who I mean) a real run for their money in the coaster wars.

"X" marks the spot in 2001!

So did that prove that old saying that everything is big in Texas sfne guy? I never thought the burgers were large! :)

What's up with all the talk about "BIG" food at SFoT? The food there is over priced just like every other park. I usally don't even eat at the park. I prefer to work up a man sized appetite riding coasters all day and then head over to Colters barbeque. The all you can eat special rules.
Look the Burgers are BIG the Hot Dogs are BIG I have NEVER seen hot dogs/Burgers so BIG.
I hope to visit New England soon, maybe next summer. Judging from those comments, I can assume that I won't be too impressed with the size of the food.

I do, however, plan to ride S:ROS like a demon.

While I totally disagee with your Titan review, I perfectly agree with every other ride, especially Texas Giant.  Overall, nice TR.

WASSUP!
lol, you will probably eat a hot dog here in 2 bites! and Yes Superman awiats you, and so does Cyclone.
Maybe when I go back Ill give Titan another chance but it left me a little dry wanting more, but Texas Giant cured my depression right away. I still cant stop raving about it.
May I ask how many times you rode Titan and what seat/s were you in? Did you try the front seat? What about the back?

I have found that you can have very different ride experiences depending on what seat you ride in. To me the back left is the most intense, while the front has plenty of great view down the first drop and wind in your face excitement.

Titan is the only coaster that always just blows me away.  Easily my favorite.  Course I love the speed, intensity, and helices.  Guess that kind of ride isn't for everybody.  Nice TR..Oh, and I agree about the hot dogs, they are the fattest hot dogs I've seen, but the burgers are normal size.
I sat in the back car. I only rode once. and um I like speed and such but Titan didnt do it for me. ?. It must have been the blood rushing to the back of my head or maybe it was the 7 seconds I missed when seeing imaginery shapes but anyway Hills and airtime give me more thrill.

I see. If you ever ride Titan again, try the front seat. It might be more to your liking since you will probably see less imaginary shapes. And, like I said, you can't beat the view from the front.

I love Titan for the very reason you aparently didn't like it, the intensity. I have come close to loosing consiousness on the helices at times. But unlike some, I don't mind that sensation a bit, in fact I love it.

I always feel like "man, what an incredible ride!" every time ride Titan.

May I ask if your friend rode Titan with you? what was his impression of the ride. You should really take more than one ride on any given coaster before passing judgement on it.

I remember riding Steel Eel at SWoT and thinking that it was pretty lame at first. But after a few more rides I had a change of hart. It's just that I was so used to riding Titan that this ride seemed slow and dull by comparison. But after 26 more rides and feeling the great airtime the ride has, I was forced to re-consider my stance on the ride. I still think Titan is better, but SE rocks in it's own right.
