SFOG's Viper to go to SFA?

Can anyone confirm this?

I've heard (non-confirmed speculation about a rumor....hmmmm) that the noise level is beyond "acceptable" for SFA.  This is by NO means certain (but I'm still placing my bets on SFKK, with the new Enchanted Forest and SFMM the dark-horse candidates).  The "shirts" at SFoG did sorta hint *wink* that it would most likely be another SF park...

I highly doubt this rumor. It seems that every year SFA has existed, it has bought a new coaster and it doesn't seem to me that this upcoming year, SFA would bring a coaster that is old to a park that is soon going to be one of the biggest SF parks and drop Viper there. It seems that any new coasters at SFA will be new not reused. Also, I don't think SFA really wants to waste its time with a shuttle looping coaster. The track length is less than 1000 feet and is not too impressive looking. I think that SFA will invest in a newer coaster that will last longer and provide more excitement and punch. Don't get me wrong, I love Scharwokopf's but it just doesn't seem to fit SFA's atmosphere, plus they already have Joker's Jinx which launches riders from 0-60 in less than 4 seconds compared to 0-57 for the Viper and Joker's Jinx is one of the most unpopular coasters at the park (hopefully it won't be next year if it gets lapbars ;). It just doesn't seem right in my mind that SFOG would transport it to SFA when SFKK is closer and could use any coaster that they, hopefully you see my point. Just my 2 cents.

Viper(Tidal Wave) packed quite a punch, especially for all a shuttle loop does. Hanging through a loop, being boosted out of my seat. I don't know if other shuttles are like that one, so maybe they're all awesome, who knows?
This always comes up, and somebody always mentions Python(right?), isn't it laying around there somewhere still?
I would give anything for it to come to SFKK.

why would SFA get a shuttle loop coaster if they already had one which i think was part of lighting loops from SFGAdv if they took it down and still have parts of it laying around why would they buy another one and but it up? i know that the viper coaster from SFOG lauches you and that the other coaster they had gave the train a push and off a hill but it dosent seem to make sence.but it would be nice if they did get it,but  i think alot of other SF parks could really use that coaster more then SFA.

p_c_r, according to rcdb, Python still sits in storage at SFA...the main difference to me, though, is that Viper is a SSSSSSSSchwarzkopf, while Python is an Arrow!  Might not make much of a difference to some, but Anton will always hold a special place for me.  (We shared B-Days, AND my first inversion was his King Kobra)...AND he also hated OTSR's!

Exclusively have I only experienced the Anton variety:), I can live with that.
I've read this rumor also, but, I think it's bogus. What would SFA need with a launched shuttle coaster, when they already have a launched coaster, and a shuttle coaster?

Pthon is indeed in storage at SFA. When I attended the Coasterzombies Annual SFA Invasion on October 13th of this year, the PR of SFA told us that we could pass by the Python remains in storage and take the picture near them. So, we walked past storage and witnessed the deceased Python shuttle coaster in pieces, a sad day indeed.

ARROW GUY: Just saw your site...outstanding! You've done some great work. You should consider professional movie prop work....get ahold of Stan Winston or someone! I guess animation could play into that too.

Chris Brewer's work is amazing, ain't it? I'm impressed by his ability to get things so right even on his "prototypes".

Sayonara,

yeah, ACE15, i've got pictures of Python when we walked back to it.  Me and a couple of other people went to rub the track for good luck. :)

If Viper comes to SFKK, I promise to ride it naked.
I doubt SFA will get a new coaster next year but if they do it will probably be a B&M stand up or floorless. Rumor has it that SFWOA isn't going to get a coaster along with SFKK because SFGADv,SFA and SFDL are getting one.
I bet you darien lake won't get it...that's one off the list.

sfdl getting a coaster medusafanatic?? What kind are they rumored to get and where did you hear this??? I highly doubt sfdl will get a coaster unless it's maybe a junior seeing how six flags seems to be anti darien lake.  I'd say all were getting there is some piece of crap used sixty foot chute the chutes.  Horray.

SFA doesn't need another shuttle but they sure need a B&M real bad.
So, what exactly was Python? A shuttle or complete coaster?

Python was an old yellow Arrow shuttle coaster.
