SFoG's Deja Vu

A little bird told me that the cobra roll on Deja Vu is up and complete. I think it can be seen from the interstate. They have already bumped back opening day for it from late May to late April. This can only mean that it is possible that it will be ready way ahead of schedule unless the weather turns off crappy for the next month. As for Acrophobia, it's opening has been pushed back to. It went from a late June opening to a late May opening. Very cool!

Well I really do not see why it would take any amount of time to build either of these rides. I could not believe when they said late June for Acrophobia.

I never understood why Acrophobia was set to open so late either. I'm guessing it's because it is a prototype that will require extensive testing.

Hey, Josh --

Is there any way your "birdie" can take some pics from the highway? If I recall correctly from my visit to SFoG this year, you could see most of the park from the outside. Are there any SFoG locals here that could snap a few photos for us buzzers?

Would be most appreciated! :)

I'll check with my "birdie". You are right about seeing the park from the road. There aren't to many trees blocking the view as much those stupid concrete barriers that are 5 foot high in the middle of the interstate. I look around myself for a site a get back with ya.

Ok. I'm still working on the pics, but I just heard that about 15 or so feet of Acrophobia's tower are are in place. It should open on time if this is true. Also, DeJa Vu's cobra roll is in place. That's all for it now though. It will be located next to the go karts with it's towers in the park. The cobra roll will be pointing toward the river. Kinda perpendicular to the walkway. As for the colors, bright lime green track with blue supports. Duh.:)

Oh, Josh where'd you hear this LOL. It's kind of an inside joke.
Check out "SFoG. An unoffical shrine." The address is http://www.mind-bender.org/sfog/. Go to discussion board. Ok, my secret little bird is out.

Here'a link to an article I found (with a little help). It shows a black and white pic of DeJa Vu construction at the park. http://www.mdjonline.com/StoryDetail.cfm?id=10016463&Section=Local&pagetype=storydetail

Boy Josh, thats an okay article, but can you find mistake after mistake in it? Lordy!
Um, maybe I didn't read thoroughly enough, but the only mistake I saw was when he said there will be no other [coaster] like it in the US. What are some of the other mistakes I missed?

Oh, and this one: As part of the expansion — its largest since opening in 1967 — new additions to the park include two new rollercoasters ...

They're building one coaster. Enlighten me to some of the other mistakes, please.

They actually mentioned "rollercoasters" three seperate times meaning, they were getting more than one this year. Unless I missed something... It also made it sound like "in addition to the coasters" they are putting in the drop ride. Does that make sense?
I also heard that they are getting one of those "Frog Hopper" deals for the kids in Bugs Bunny land.

Well, technically SFOG's Deja Vu will be the first one to open, so at least for a month or so there will be nothing else like it ;) As for the other mistake? I can't help them there!
