SFOG on 3/27 or 4/9??

I can go to SFOG on either Saturday March 27, or Friday April 9. Which day is least likely to be crowded at the park??
Alot of schools around here don't have Spring Break with Six Flags, so that one might be less crowded. However, its a crapshoot, but I would say the 9th will be less crowded.

Id go with fri as that is almost always less crowded for any park. But be prepared they may run out of chicken after you wait in a long line for it.Also the boy with the pimple will say "I think the ride is broken".

That was last year's SFoG, this year we aren't deserving of that flash cartoon at all ;).

The 27th is the same day as both the JROTC competition and the ACE SE Spring Fling event. Last year these two events coincided and there was almost nobody at the park. As far as the 9th goes, it could go either way, being Good Friday and all.

The good side of going on the 27th is that there will be many other enthusiasts at the park (if you're in to that sort of thing). You can always get a Q-bot on either day if the lines are bad.

I would personally suggest NOt going on the weekend...but if you do, make sure to get Q-bot...you won't need it for Ninja, GASM, and GC, but you do for pretty much every thing else is you on't want to wait forever in line. I was there last May and the line for S:UF was like 2-2.5 hours long, and the same for B:TR.

It's been a real crapshoot this year so far too. The first weekend we had what you would expect for opening weekend with mild weather (light crowds, walk ons), however last weekend, there were lines for some of the more popular rides. Superman had more than half the queue full and was using both stations! *** Edited 3/18/2004 4:28:57 PM UTC by Chris the Coaster Freak***

What? They weren't using both stations on Saturday. In fact, that damn thing went down literally every other cycle when I was in line. The people in front of us had to get out of the train THREE times because it kept going down! I have no idea what the issue was.

Same with Mindbender - the train is not advancing to the station after it stops in the final brakes. Those two rides were very problematic for both weekends now. Hopefully they can get them to operate more relaibly soon...and I'd LOVE to see both stations open/three trains on SUF - the line was almost full queue on Sat with only one station/two trains. Probably because of how much it was going down though.
