SFOG increases price of Lo-Q

...If you thought $10.00 was too much for a "Q-Bot" which saved your place in line, according to a source it seems that it now costs a whopping $15.00 additional cost [to your admission price] to participate. If anybody can clarify and confirm this that would be great, it seems they just raised the price recently. What's next....

Not to sound like an idiot, but what exactly is a Q-Bot?

Virtual line jumping you can pay for. :)
Sorry to tell you this but they have been that price for a few months now. In may it was $15 when I tried this system of virtual line holding.

I believe it was 10$ + a 5$ deposit (that you got back upon returning the Q-bot) before, and thats what it is according to the official website, but I believe they raised it.

A "Q-bot" is a digital device that you carry with your party to reserve your spot in line. At the entrances to rides there is a special setup to scan your Q-Bot across and it "reserves" your spot. When its time to go back to the ride later, your Q-bot beeps and lets you know to go to the ride. It can be used for "other" things besides holding your spot in line...for more information and details you can go to: http://www.lo-q.com

Jeff, you are the best! Thank you for your hard work, and your awesome site!

Ahh, sounds better than fastlane. At least is real Virtual Queuing, but it cost $$$.

When I visited SFOG in July, the pricing structure was:

$10.00 for rental of the Q-Bot plus an additional $5 for each person who would be using it. . . up to 5 or 6 people, I think.

I agree that its most "fair" to everybody, since everybody is essentially waiting the same amount of time (although it might not "appear" that way to people waiting) and is much more efficent and fair compared to FastLane, however, its dissapointing to know Disney uses FASTPASS which is free of charge and essentially does the same thing as the Lo-Q, except you can't hold multiple rides at one time. At least with FASTPASS "anybody" in the park can use it when they want to, without an additional charge, and you are essentially still "waiting" in line just as everybody else except you can go off and wait while you are eating lunch outside of the line...
