SFOG flyer first drop pics

The first drop on SFOG's new B&M flyer is complete. Here are some pics:

I don't have time right now but if someone wants to submit this as news go right ahead

That first drop looks really small. Im not sure how it could pick up much speed from that. but the coaster still looks great and i like the colors.

Looks very impressive.  I can't believe the elements B&M are pulling off with the flying design like the curving drop(SFOG) and corkscrew(A.Towers), they are simply amazing!

Yeah, the drop does look pretty small. To me it looks like the train could hit no more than 45 at the bottom, but evidentley it has to pick up more speed than it looks. Looks like an awesome ride! SFOG is getting way better then it was with the addition of this new flyer, Deja Vu, and Acraphobia. Great job SFOG!

If you've never been on one of the Vekoma Dutchmen, then you wouldn't know that size means nothing when it comes to being in that position on a roller coaster. The first time I saw X-Flight it seemed small and slow. The ride it gives, while not the most comfortable, is certainly very intense.

Does anyone have a picture of the track that leaves the station going to the lift (the split track)or know how it works?

I wonder when we'll see a launched flyer ? It'd be cool to have it launch out of the station, up what would normally be the lift hill, have an inline twist at the top of the hill, and then into the "flying curve" that these pictures show.

A tophat on a flying coaster would be pretty cool too. Kinda simulating when a jet or a bird flies high, stalls, and glides back down again.

I drove by the park yesterday, and the "pretzel loop" inversion is already half done as well.  If your confused about this inversion, it's basically back to back raven turns, where you enter in the prone position at the top, dive straight down and are on your backs at the bottom of the loop, then continue back up the second half of the loop, back into the flying position.  Just think of a Vekoma flyer loop flipped upside down, then streched out at the bottom to reduce G's, hence the name pretzel loop.

That looks ultra intense if you ask me... that swoooping drop...wow!!!

The good news is its 100% confirmed I am going to SFMM, the sad news is, the SFOG trip has been cancelled.... (sob)

If you click the link on the original post the third picture you can see how it works.

Yeah, that drop doesn't look like 75 feet. Can't wait to see the pretzel!

Anyone else notice the trim at the bottom of the first drop.
I see it.  Hopefully it wont hurt the ride too bad.  This ride looks so cool though, can't till more construction gets completed and hopefully I will get there.  By the rate of construction, does anyone think it will be open by the first day of the season?  I know it is a prototype so it will take even longer than a normal coaster to finish and make sure it is safe but hasn't B&M been working on the design for a while?  I can't wait to get on this thing, wonder how it will compare to AIR(which I will most likely never ride:()

If AIR is operating sucessfully by the time S:UF is finished, would it still be considered a "prototype" and subject to additonal extensive testing ? Even if there is a problem with AIR, they will know about it before S:UF is finished, so it will make it a lot easier and quicker to make the required changes. But remember, this is B&M we are talking about ! Have they ever had a problem with a new ride ?!?!

IS there a pic of the 1/2 completed pretzel?

AIR has already completed testing and all that is left is themeing.
Thanks for the pics. These pics make me look forward even more to my trip to SFoG this summer.
