SFoG Announces Kinda...

SFoG's season pass line (1-770-739-3416) is talking about there new for 2001 rides. The names for the new rides have been announced. The Super Invertigo will be Deja Vu, and the Intamin Gyro Drop Tower will be Acrophobia (fear of heights).

Another Deja Vu?!? That's what I hate about big park owners. Can't they think of a NEW name? It's really pathetic that they have to use the same name over and over. Oh well. I guess it is still a coaster and that can't be bad.

Jack, who can't wait for Opening Day 2001...
I'm experiencing Deja Vu.
I like the name Deja Vu alot and think that Vekoma should use that instead of the generic Super Invertigo.

I also have a question if anyone knows about the Stand Up Roto Drop. I heard, I think here, that when Intamin was working on this they had it fixed so that when you got to the very top that the "seats" would lean out on the sides of the tower and then drop. When they engage the breaks they would go back to the standing position. Does anybody know if this stayed in the design?

I really hope so because that would make that such a sweet ride! So much better then the lame Free Fall which is always broken down when I go to SFOG.

And could these Drachen Fire replacing the Ninja rumors be true? They did say they would be getting three new rides!

Flying over metal is a beautiful thing!
The reason they do this is to save on marketing their merchandise. Think about it they will only have to make one shirt and then stamp the name of the park on the back of the shirt. It's a no brainer.

I think the leaning out portion of Acrophobia will still be there when it's built. I think I heard that the lean will only be 15-20 degrees. That gonna be one sweet fall!

How tall is the Roto drop going to be?
Is that season pass line toll free??
I'm hearing rumors that Acrophobia will be between 180 and 210 feet high. Once again those are RUMORS!!1 As for the toll line, it's not free. :(
