SFOG and Disney

Hey everyone this is my first post I have been a LONG TIME reader but I never post. I was just upset that no one wrote a report on Gay Disney this year. Gay days at theme parks in general are much more fun in my opinion. NEVER LINES!!!

I am very excited that Pearl Day at SFOG is 2 weeks away. It is really the only day I will go to the park in the summer. If you haven’t gone before you should defiantly check it out. The day is so great because it is the only time that everyone one that is there is happy and smiling.

This day is so great because it is always the last day of the Christian Church Week but they all leave by two because they would rather die then be standing in line with a nelly queen. You just have to love the looks they give us and the things they get their little kids to say.

I just got back from Gay Disney a few days ago it was the best. The Hollywood party at MGM was amazing. The only time of the year you can dance all night and ride the rides as much as you wish. If you are unfamiliar with Gay Disney Weekend you are missing out. This year they only had night parties at Typhoon Lagoon (Beachball) and MGM (Hollywood). The parties usually go from 10am - 3am. Beachball was hot like always amazing DJ’s and water rides. I just wish they could have it at Blizzard Beach. At MGM this year I was able to ride RnRC and TOT 10 times each before I was ready to dance. The Sunday night party this year was not at IOA again which was very disappointing. Last year the party was just amazing in that park. The dance floor took over the entire Jurassic Park Island. I usually don’t make it to the parks during the day because the night will wear you out since you don’t get home till like noon.

If you do make it to Pearl Day this year I will be wearing pearls and a "Smile if your Gay" shirt. The reason why we wear pearls is because it goes to AIDS research and such. I just only wish they sold alcohol there like Busch Gardens.

Trip report when I get back.

No offense, but what, if anything, does this have to do with General Buzz? It might pass for a trip report of some sorts, but probably should be in the Meeting Calendar section.

Happiness is like peeing your pants. Everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth. Trip pics are here: http://www.pbase.com/jhbd99.
sounds like fun, and did you say there is no lines? I don't mean to be offensive but are these parties for anyone or just for gay people?...and its nice that you guys wear pearls and support a good cause.

It was kinda sad flying into Orlando Int'l and seeing all the bumper stickers posted ALL over the airport WARNING people "June is Gay Days at Disney".

"OMG, gay people will be there honey, let's go to Universal instead"....I mean seriously, put your white hoods back on and go spread your message of intolerance somewhere ELSE....

Sorry, not to turn this into *another* thread on tolerance and homosexuality, that's what RRC is for...;)

SFoG and Disney rock...:)

No you don’t have to be gay to attend the events. I took 3 of my straight friends there this year. It was their first time and they had a blast. I would recommend going with a gay friend.

http://markbakerpresents.com/ This website has all the info on the parties at the parks.

I dragged several straight friends to the Odessey party at SFMM. They had a ball and thought the operations were much improved compared to their previous visits.

I really don't agree with the operations part, mainly because many of the rides were closed. It was very nice though to see what was running was doing so at a peak performance.

Man, I have to make it to Florida one of these years for this event, looks totally fun!

And welcome to CB Bobby!

Any way I can pick up those pearls at the park and show my support, Malibu? Call me "Family Friendly."

I will be in Atlanta, but only able to visit SFOG wed. evening if that. Sounds like a GREAT time, though, and I might be able to do the NJ one in Sept. :)

No you can't buy the Pearls at SFOG on Wednesday 23, 2004. Six Flags has nothing to do with the day it is just a community thing. I think you can buy them at Outwrite Bookstore and Brush Strokes. Also at different bars and clubs around the city. I think there is going to be a pretty big turn out this year. It will be a fabulous start to Pride.
