My Coaster Challenge Day:1Date:7/7/02Park:Six Flags Over GeorgiaTime at Park:First ride at 11; last ride at 5. We left at 6:45 CST so we would arrive at the park at or around opening time. We arrived around 10:10 Eastern. We proceeded to the ticket office and purchased our season passes and proceeded to have them processed. I have been here before, twice in 1996 and twice in 1999, but had only ridden 2 of the coasters, the mine train and Mind Bender so 7 new coasters lay ahead of me. Our passes were processed and I immediately went to get a Q-Bot. My dad was real unhappy with the Q-Bot prices so we wound up not getting one. Disappointed, I headed to my first ride of the day, the Georgia Cyclone. Georgia Cyclone (Dinn & Summers twister woodie) This ride was a walk on for the next to back seat. The ride was ok for a woodie. The ride seemed to have several trims located around. There were several moments of airtime, but the airtime was small. I enjoyed the ride and would love to ride it again.1 lap, 6 ½ /10 After the ride on Cyclone I convinced my dad to rent a Q-Bot and boy I’m glad we did! Georgia Scorcher (B&M Stand Up) This was my very first stand up and my 3rd beemer. We scanned on Q-Bot because the line was pretty long and we were stunned with the response the Q-Bot gave us. 10 minutes until your ride! I was certainly glad we got it. We rode in the back row. My little brother was next to me and he pulled down his seat, but it popped up some with him on it and for his luck they happened to lock it so his feet were dangling the whole ride. I really enjoyed this, as it was what a coaster should be:smooth and FUN! The finale was awesome!1 lap, 8/10 After Scorcher we started to Gotham City to ride Mind Bender and Batman. We walked towards MB’s entrance but it was blocked off. We decided to continue on towards Batman. Another 10 minute wait thanks to Q-Bot! Because of the Fast Pass, we had to sit in either the 6th or 7th row so we picked the 7th. Batman:The Ride This was my second B&M invert, the first also being a B:TR clone (Great With at SeaWorld). I think this version was a lot smoother than SeaWorld’s Great White. It was intense, twisted, and had nice ground effects. I wish VisonLand would have had a ride like this!1 lap 8/10 After B:TR we got aboard the park’s train just as it was opening. We got off at the next station and intended to head for S:UF but the Dahlonega Mine Train was on the way so we rode it. I won’t go into detail but it was ok. This had been the first coaster I had ridden way back in 1996. 1 lap 23 ½ /10 We headed into Lickskillet to ride Thunder River. After a refreshing ride and a 10 minute wait (The line was LONG!) we scanned the bot for Déjà vu and was told to come back in 50 minutes for our ride. I was surprised it was running and to my knowledge it never broke down! We headed up to Cotton States and scaned S:UF, but then got on the Great American Scream Machine because it was near walk on. Great American Scream Machine (PTC out and back) My brother and I borded in 1.3. The signs say keep your head against the headrest but it was way too painful to do so. This would be a great coaster if they could fix some of the roughness. I would love to see Six Flags fix that and change the trains to be facing backwards.1 lap 6/10 After GASM we grabed a bottle of water and headed towards Déjà vu. We used the Q-Bot entrance and were assigned our seats. My dad was in 7b (the two back seats that are separated) and my brother and myself was in 8a (the last section of together cars. Déjà vu (Vekoma Giant Inverted Boomerang) I must admit I was a little scared of the vertical lifts but I loved the ride. The feeling of droping down the second tower backwards was increadible. I was kind of surprised that I only hit my head once, and that was not very hard.1 lap 8/10 After we steped off Déjà vu our Q-Bot told us our Superman:Ulitmate Flight ride was in EIGHT minutes, so we hauled butt to get to it. Superman:Ultimate Flight (B&M Flying) The park was running two trains but only one station. We hopped on and pulled down our very comfortable OTSR’s. The ankle restraints were very akeward. This was a little un-nerving seeing as it was my very first flying coaster. The pretzel loop was an awesome element for this ride. You come very close to many things on this coaster. Of corse, we all had our arms out like Superman!1 lap 8 ½ /10 We grabed a bite to eat after S:UF and headed towards Monster Plantation. We had a nice ride on MP and walked around for a few minutes taking pictures. We walked beck to Gotham City expecting Mind Bender to still be closed and to take some pics of B:TR. To our surprise, t my dad was in 7.2. The normal line was moving slow because only one train was running. Mind Bender (Schwarzkopf looper) This was an awesome coaster! The G’s were strong in some very strange places. I really enjoyed the lapbar only trains Mr Anton used. SFOG has a winner in with this 24 year old coaster.1 lap 7/10 We had one coaster left. We scaned the bot and had 15 to spare so I got myself a S:UF shirt. We returned to Ninja to get in row 7.1 Ninja (Vekoma Looper) This was an alright coaster. It was fairly smooth and the head choopers were surprising. The only real thing I did not like was the shaking of the brake run.1 lap 6/10 After Ninja we had to leaveL, but Tuesday I’ll be hitting a brand new park, Paramount’s Kings Dominion.
Good TR!

And maybe people won't flame you if you quadruple-post. ;)

Good TR, but why does Dahlonega Mine Train get a 23.5 / 10? j/k. SFOG almost never runs 3 trains on S:UF, but they usually use both stations. Lines are usually over an hour with 2 trains. Also, did you ride Acrophobia? One of the best rides IMO.

My two favorite coasters are named Superman.

NIce TR! I gotta make a trip there.
