I called SFOG (why no 800# or email addr?) who said I can go to any Publix grocery store in the area and get tickets (in advance) for $28. But, I have coupons for $15 off $40 so it'd be $25 if bought at the gate (dont think they're good at Publix).
Well, I don't doubt that people have had bad experiences with the season pass line... But I must say, when I was there the morning of April 6th (SUF Opening Day), the line was enormous, yet it was moving incredibly quickly. They had every photo station open, and working very efficiently. Now, whether or not you'll get so lucky, I can't say.

FCR The season pass line was huge but the worst part was the will call windows, I had already bought my pass yet it took me two hours to go through line to pick it up, ridiculous.
That place was completely crazy that day. Most unorganized mess of a ticket plaza I have ever saw.
