SFO X-Flight footer construction begins

Posted | Contributed by ShiveringTim

Footer construction has started for X-Flight at SFO. As of last weekend, only a few footer molds have been erected. These photos give you a better idea of where the ride will be placed.

Only 94 days left. There is going to be some mad construction going on at that site. Right now It looks like a football field.

I would suspect that this won't make opening day, just like S:ROS @ SFA didn't.
Batman Knight Flight really didn't start vertical construction until the middle of January, and that was a larger task because it was taller and longer, but it still was ready for opening day.
The amount of footers is doubling every day so it should be ready in time, also vertical construction will probably start in a week at the max.
Over 8 weeks the who constructionwork is done.
Vertical Construction Just started right after i posted!!
This is gonig to be a GOOD flying coaster.
What type of vertical contruction? Supports or station?

Don't mess with the X in 01
I'm sure it will be done by opening day, but man does this park like to push it to the last minute. It's been three months since the park closed for the season and they are only this far????? This ride would almost be complete at the other Ohio parks (CP and PKI).
my guess is this coaster isnt going to be ready for opening day. once the coaster is complete, there are certain things which must be done. One of those things, is a month of testing before it can be opened to the public. if construction doesnt start moving alittle faster, id say this coaster wont be ready for opening day, but two or three weeks after the opening.
AAAAHHHH! A rod job! I wonder if SFO needs any one for tying all that rebar. I'm a professional! :) Maybe they will get my email addy here and I'll be driving there with my pliers and reel ready to go! :)
