I was just on the SixFlags web page and finally they are displaying SFO as a SixFlags park. They also included it in the list of other SixFlags season pass holders that can visit the park. Thats good news for SFO because they will draw more business. It still amazes me that they put so many new investments into 1 park in a single season. Aside from that I am looking forward to visiting this park for the first time. I think with all the new additions it will be as popular as SFGAm and SFMM. The 2000 season cant come soon enough!!!!!
Well looking at some attendance figures...
SFMM had 3.2 million visitors last year, and SFGam had 3.1 million visitors. The old GL had 1.2 million visitors. Darien Lake had about a 12 percent increase in visitors after it was converted so for argurment's sake I'll say SFO will have a 15 percent raise over last year. That would bring it up to 1.38 million people not even close to SFMM, SFGam or CP for that matter.
No it wont get to there attendance figures but it is a start. Give it time and if people like it the attendance will keep increasing in the future.
And Magic Mountain had all year! CP and PKI each had around 3.3 million in much shorter seasons.
SFO will have some great rides, but it's still going to be a regional park, not a flagship.

Yeah Jeff, your right. I forgot SFMM is open all year round. That means SFGAm,CP,and PKI had some really impressive attendance figures.
