SFO 8/5 report

Associated parks:
None

Off to ride the Villain at night. That was my goal for the evening. I know it was a Saturday, but my parents were going for the Ford outing. I arrived at the park with a friend at 3. We went into the parking lot and man was it a joke. In fact, the whole night would be one. We parked in one of the last over flow parking spots and was shuttled to the front of the gates. We went in and just saw swarms and swarms of people. I walked around looking at the lines and they were all out of the entrances. Even the Raging Wolf Bobs! I did notice that both trains were running on Serial Thriller. Big Dipper was also down, and will be down for awhile because of a fire when the an epmployee sped the lift up too fast. First thing I decided to do was hit the water park, Hurricane Harbor. Of course there were no lines there so I changed, found a innertube amd went into the wave pool. It was pretty fun, especially since it was packed full of people. After that I walked around and went into Hooks Lagoon. There was water going everywhere. I went down a few slides and then finished off in the Lazy River. Hurricane Harbor I think is the nicest part of the park. When I changed back I decided it was time for some rides. I got in line for Batman Knight Flight. While in line I was surrounded by drunk steel workers, claming they've never worked on anything smaller then the Sears Tower. One even had 10 bottles of vodka and was passing it around to everyone, in front of his kids of course. The whole time, and the whole day of a matter of fact the only police officer I saw was outside the gate. Great job Six Flags Ohio. Anyway, about a 45 minutes later I was sitting in the front row. I re-road 2 more times filling in the empty seats. On the last time I was stuck on the brake run for about 15 minutes because they couldn't get someone who cut in line off the ride. There was plenty of yelling and swearing as the entire station was in an uproar. They finally got the person off and when she wal攀搀 搀漀眀渀 琀栀攀 攀砀椀琀 爀愀洀瀀 猀栀攀 猀琀甀挀欀 甀瀀 戀漀琀栀 洀椀搀搀氀攀 昀椀渀最攀爀猀 愀渀搀 礀攀氀氀攀搀 昀ⴀ甀 琀漀 琀栀攀 挀爀漀眀搀⸀ 䴀礀 ㌀ 爀椀搀攀猀 眀攀爀攀 漀欀Ⰰ 戀甀琀 栀攀愀搀 戀愀渀最椀渀最 漀挀挀甀爀攀搀Ⰰ 愀渀搀 琀栀攀 爀椀搀攀 搀漀攀猀渀✀琀 猀漀甀渀搀 氀椀欀攀 椀琀猀 椀渀 最漀漀搀 猀栀愀瀀攀⸀ 夀漀甀 挀愀渀 栀攀愀爀 愀 氀漀琀 漀昀 爀愀琀琀氀椀渀最 愀渀搀 椀琀猀 最攀琀琀椀渀最 爀漀甀最栀Ⰰ 猀漀洀攀琀栀椀渀最 琀栀愀琀 礀漀甀 搀漀渀✀琀 攀砀瀀攀挀琀 昀爀漀洀 愀 䈀☀䴀⸀ 一攀砀琀 眀攀 眀愀椀琀攀搀 椀渀 氀椀渀攀 昀漀爀 琀栀攀 嘀椀氀氀愀椀渀Ⰰ 愀戀漀甀琀 愀 栀愀氀昀 栀漀甀爀 眀愀椀琀⸀ 䤀琀 眀愀猀 愀 最爀攀愀琀 爀椀搀攀 愀渀搀 䤀 琀栀椀渀欀 椀琀猀 猀琀椀氀氀 椀渀 愀 瘀椀爀琀甀愀氀 琀椀攀 眀椀琀栀 嘀椀瀀攀爀 愀琀 䜀爀攀愀琀 䄀洀攀爀椀挀愀 昀漀爀 洀礀 昀愀瘀漀爀椀琀攀 眀漀漀搀椀攀⸀ 䄀昀琀攀爀 琀栀愀琀 䤀 眀攀渀琀 琀漀 琀栀攀 瀀愀瘀椀氀氀椀漀渀 愀渀搀 最爀愀戀戀攀搀 猀漀洀攀琀栀椀渀最 琀漀 攀愀琀⸀ 䤀 搀攀挀椀搀攀搀 琀漀 眀愀氀欀 愀爀漀甀渀搀 昀漀爀 琀栀攀 爀攀猀琀 漀昀 琀栀攀 攀瘀攀椀渀椀渀最 戀攀昀漀爀攀 䤀 琀漀漀欀 洀礀 渀椀最栀琀 爀椀搀攀猀 漀渀 琀栀攀 嘀椀氀氀愀椀渀⸀ 䤀 氀愀甀最栀攀搀 愀琀 栀漀眀 洀愀渀礀 瀀攀漀瀀氀攀 琀栀攀爀攀 眀攀爀攀 愀渀搀 眀愀猀 琀爀甀氀礀 搀椀猀愀瀀瀀漀椀渀琀攀搀 椀渀 眀栀愀琀 琀栀攀 瀀愀爀欀 栀愀猀 戀攀挀漀洀攀⸀ 䄀琀 琀栀攀 戀攀最椀渀渀椀渀最 漀昀 琀栀攀 礀攀愀爀 椀琀 氀漀漀欀攀搀 最爀攀愀琀Ⰰ 戀甀琀 渀漀眀 椀琀猀 樀甀猀琀 猀愀搀⸀ 䤀 洀椀猀猀 䜀爀攀愀琀 䄀洀攀爀椀挀愀 愀渀搀 愀洀 琀栀椀渀欀椀渀最 漀昀 洀愀欀椀渀最 椀琀 洀礀 渀攀眀 栀漀洀攀 瀀愀爀欀⸀ 䤀琀 眀愀猀 愀戀漀甀琀 㤀 愀渀搀 琀椀洀攀 琀漀 爀椀搀攀 琀栀攀 嘀椀氀氀愀椀渀⸀ 䤀 眀愀椀琀攀搀 愀 栀愀氀昀 栀漀甀爀 漀渀挀攀 愀最愀椀渀 愀渀搀 瀀愀猀猀攀搀 戀礀 洀愀渀礀 漀瘀攀爀 昀氀漀眀椀渀最 琀爀愀猀栀 挀愀渀猀 眀栀椀氀攀 氀椀猀琀攀渀椀渀最 琀漀 瀀攀漀瀀氀攀 猀愀礀 栀漀眀 瀀漀漀爀 琀栀攀 瀀愀爀欀 椀琀⸀ 䴀礀 猀攀挀漀渀搀 爀椀搀攀 漀渀 嘀椀氀氀愀椀渀 眀愀猀 愀眀攀猀漀洀攀Ⰰ 愀渀搀 琀栀攀 爀椀搀攀 椀猀 爀攀愀氀氀礀 渀攀愀琀 愀琀 渀椀最栀琀 眀椀琀栀 渀漀 氀椀最栀琀⸀ 䤀 最漀琀 漀渀 漀渀挀攀 洀漀爀攀 琀漀 昀椀渀椀猀栀 漀甀琀 琀栀攀 攀瘀攀渀椀渀最⸀ 䤀 猀愀琀 椀渀 琀栀攀 氀愀猀琀 爀漀眀 眀栀攀爀攀 䤀 最漀琀 琀漀 猀攀攀 琀栀攀 瘀愀渀搀愀氀椀猀洀 椀渀 琀栀攀 氀愀猀琀 挀愀爀 漀昀 琀栀攀 最爀愀礀 琀爀愀椀渀⸀ 䤀琀 眀愀猀 愀渀漀琀栀攀爀 最爀攀愀琀 爀椀搀攀 愀渀搀 琀栀攀 渀椀最栀琀 栀愀搀 挀漀洀攀 琀漀 愀渀 攀渀搀⸀ 䤀 攀砀椀琀攀搀 琀栀攀 瀀愀爀欀 愀渀搀 眀愀猀 猀栀甀琀琀氀攀搀 戀愀挀欀 琀漀 洀礀 瀀愀爀攀渀琀猀 挀愀爀⸀ 䤀琀 琀漀漀欀 愀渀 栀漀甀爀 琀漀 最攀琀 漀甀琀 漀昀 琀栀攀 洀攀猀猀⸀ 吀栀攀爀攀 眀愀猀 猀椀渀最氀攀 昀椀氀攀 琀爀愀昀昀椀挀 漀甀琀 漀昀 琀栀攀 漀渀氀礀 攀砀椀琀⸀ 伀渀 琀漀瀀 漀昀 琀栀愀琀猀 琀栀攀 攀渀琀椀爀攀 瀀愀爀欀椀渀最 氀漀琀 眀愀猀 挀漀瘀攀爀攀搀 椀渀 琀爀愀猀栀⸀ 䤀 氀攀昀琀 琀栀攀 瀀愀爀欀 眀椀琀栀 猀漀洀攀 最漀漀搀 爀椀搀攀猀 漀渀 嘀椀氀氀愀椀渀Ⰰ 戀甀琀 搀椀猀猀愀瀀漀椀渀琀洀攀渀琀 椀渀 匀椀砀 䘀氀愀最猀 伀栀椀漀⸀ 吀栀椀猀 瀀愀爀欀 搀漀攀猀渀✀琀 搀攀猀攀爀瘀攀 琀漀 戀攀 挀愀氀氀攀搀 匀椀砀 䘀氀愀最猀 椀渀 椀琀猀 瀀爀攀猀攀渀琀 猀琀愀琀攀⸀ 䄀昀琀攀爀 猀攀攀椀渀最 䜀爀攀愀琀 䄀洀攀爀椀挀愀 䤀 欀渀漀眀 眀栀愀琀 愀 匀椀砀 䘀氀愀最猀 瀀愀爀欀 猀栀漀甀氀搀 爀攀愀氀氀礀 戀攀Ⰰ 愀渀搀 琀栀椀猀 椀猀渀✀琀 椀琀⸀  㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀ⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀⴀ 㰀戀爀㸀圀栀愀琀✀猀 氀椀昀攀 椀昀 礀漀甀 渀攀瘀攀爀 最攀琀 琀漀 琀栀攀 倀漀椀渀琀㼀 㰀戀爀㸀㰀愀 栀爀攀昀㴀∀栀琀琀瀀㨀⼀⼀瀀攀漀瀀氀攀⸀洀眀⸀洀攀搀椀愀漀渀攀⸀渀攀琀⼀洀挀欀椀渀渀椀攀∀ 琀愀爀最攀琀㴀∀开戀氀愀渀欀∀㸀栀琀琀瀀㨀⼀⼀瀀攀漀瀀氀攀⸀洀眀⸀洀攀搀椀愀漀渀攀⸀渀攀琀⼀洀挀欀椀渀渀椀攀㰀⼀愀㸀   㰀戀爀㸀ഀ਀ഀ਀ഀ਀ ⨀⨀⨀ 吀栀椀猀 瀀漀猀琀 眀愀猀 攀搀ited by Hurricane_6 on 8/6/2000. ***

And people wonder why I used to call it Drunka Lake and White Trashistan. ;)

Batman seems to get worse every time I ride it. Walter and Claude would cry if they stopped by. The wheels are visibly in sad shape. What a shame. When you start to get lateral shifting through the turns they've got to be in bad shape. Pair that with train stacking even during two-train operation and you've got the joke that this poor B&M has become.

Of the ten parks I've been to this year, SFO always sits at the bottom of my list. I constantly ask myself why three great rides have to be in such an evil place.

I totally agree with you about Six Flags Great America. What a difference. It's time to move some of their key managers to SFO to create the huge shift in operations necessary to make SFO a park worthy of the name.

And you know what makes this even more visible. Check out Chips site (refreshinglook) and you will see one of its moderators pimping out Raging Bull and SFGAm. They even go so far on an SFO unofficial site to bring up all the comparisons of why SFGAm is great and SFO is not. When you have one of the regulars doing this it really is becoming a sad state for SFO.
geez, sounds like something similar to my last visit. Security, always nowhere to be found, and if you do see some its always one or two. Yes, Batman was very rough going of the midcourse brakes and into the corkscrews. Jeff, you are right, if they knew (B&M) how SFO were treating their creation they would flip. Personally, I dont see this park receiving anything in about 5 years, because its apparent they dont keep the maintenance on tap.
I wouldn't be too surprised to see a management shakeup at this park next year. For all our complaints about Six Flags parks, SFO is even WORSE than usual.

That's not to say the others are ALL good -- Rolling Blunder at Great Adventure is in dire need of maintenance, for instance. But Six Flags Ohio has quickly turned into the WORST example of what we find wrong with Six Flags parks, IMHO...

After what I thought was an excellent opening day, I expected much greater things out of SFO. They're close enough to parks like Cedar Point, Kennywood, heck even King's Island, that they REALLY need to STRAIGHTEN UP this park, not let it get WORSE. For a lot of people in the area, this is their first experience with "Six Flags", and it's not going to be a good one...

When I went there just the other day nothing opened on time. The staff was not very friendly. And to think I was going to buy a season pass to this place instead of the one I got a CP. I'm glad my hometown park is CP.
