With an open mind I arrived with my free AOL ticket and got ready for the stampede to S:UE. It's something everyone should do once. I felt the coolest part was the vertical pause before the ending.
Everything was going well so far, so I pressed on. Serial Thriller was down so I made it to Batman. If you're not in the front, you are losing. Otherwise it's just a regular B&M sit down. A decent ride with a really nice color scheme going on. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by Ops taking FOREVER to load trains. I could have done it faster. My dead grandmother could have done it faster.
I moved on to Raging Wolf Bobs. I like this and it seems to be maintained pretty well. A fun, quick ride.
However, here's where things dive into the toilet and drown. The Villan had what looked to be a 15 minute wait. This was on my must list so I lined up. So imagine my suprise when I'm finally boarding after a 90 minute wait. Imagine my suprise when I see what appeared to be perfectly funtional trains sitting idle. Why would you have the ability to make your guests enjoy your park more and yet seem to care less? This is sloppy. However, a fantastic ride.
Serial Thriller was still down and since I did it on my last visit 2 years ago, I thought I would live if I missed it. I thought the place had great potential, but somehow there was a bad vibe about the place. I can't exactly put my finger on it- it was just something. I noticed very little in the way of grafitti (even looked for it) and the place was clean and bright and cheery looking, but something was just not quite right. After feeling let down, I left after 4 rides and 3 hours to hit Cedar Point. I wish I could identify what wasen't functioning at this place, but I can't. I really wanted to have a good day here and not bash the place, but despite my best efforts, I left feeling let down and unsatisfied. Oh well, hopefully they'll get it together next year. Even though I havent been to this place and I am probably spoiled with one of the better Premier parks close to me (SFGAm) I am trying to figure out how this company can pump so much money into SFO and then let it result in unsatisfied customers. I dont get it. If they dont want to keep this park to a great place to visit than just SELL IT!!!!!

"DONT FIGHT IT, RIDE IT",,,,RAGING BULL
They can let things go for now, because the dollars are rolling in. The real kicker will be next year when people start to say, "I don't need that again."

When did you get your free AOL tickets? I ordered mine but never got them (which may not be that bad of a thing!)

A bad day at Cedar Point is better than a good day at work.
I ordered right after the offer was announced (mid-July)and they came about 3 weeks later. I'm sort of glad I didn't pay for only 3 hours.
