SFNO opening delayed until April 12

New Orleans television is reporting that Six Flags New Orleans will not open this weekend, but will open now next weekend(April 12). Go to sfno.com for info. and a link to the tv station.

Didn't this same thing happen at Six Flags America in 1999.

-Update- official website now says opening soon and the dates on the calendar are TBA, so this is true.

Yup the same thing happened at SFA during it's in initial opening because the park wasn't ready yet.

The opening was delayed for 1 week but they still had problems on opening day with a majority of the rides not running right.

So we have Scream! and the new Six Flags New Orleans opening up to the general riding public on the same date! :)
Well don't forget that SFA opens for the season on the 12th as well.

SFZIP,what's with the registration requirements just to view the press release from that news site? I'm not interested in having to register with a website just to view one article,so is there any way you can get a transcript of the report posted either here or on SFNO.com so the rest of us can actually read it without having to register first?

I have not read it either, don't want to register to have to read it. I would say just keep checking sfno.com or sixflagsneworleans.com to see if somebody has the article.
Here is a link to an article in the Times Picayune newspaper that doesn't require registration:

That was a good article there, did you notice that they didn't mention the other park which had problems that postponed opening day? & we all know which park that was.
Batwing, I'd just like to point out to you that we place spaces after commas and other punctuation marks. I've been noticing that you do it in every post, and it drives me insane ;).
