SFNE's 2002 Coaster: + vs. -

What about Hollister?  j/k  I think that it will be a plus because it is a B&M and a minus that it has some common elements and no cobra roll or batwing.  e.i. for common elements dive loop, interlocking corkscrews.
Well...most of you saw shorter lines for S:ROS as one of your +s. Well...maybe it will be longer.

I hope it gets themed after The Matrix.

The Matrix?
I don't know of 1 movie that has a coaster themed after it at a SIX FLAGS park. Batman/Superman are all based off of the comic book characters.

What does IMO mean?
-----------------
TOP 5
1. Alpengeist, 2. Magnum XL-200, 3. Superman: Ride of Steel (SFNE), 4. Volcano: The Blast Coaster, 5. Apollo's Chariot
In my opinion :)
After riding GA Scorcher and Talon, believe me, compact B&Ms are great rides.  Also, anything that reduces wait on S:RoS is a huge plus, as I found out at SFA this year!  If only they left trees standing closer to the tracks (Beast, Mindbender), the speed feeling would increase significantly.  I think that was part of the problem for me with AC and, to a lesser degree, Nitro...I love the trees!

Son of Drop Zone - PKI CoasterCamp I Champions!!!
I think the only B&M we'd all like to forget about is Vortex at PC.  Even though I've never ridden it, from what I hear, it's the worst B&M there is.  No, I didn't say worst coaster, I said worst B&M.  Now for some plus and minus'.

+B&M

-Six Flags theming, not to great.

+Compact meaning it could be brought to other parks.

-Short, allowing 2 trains, reducing capacity on coaster and loading times.

+SWEET color scheme.

I like to end things positive.

Coasters are like a fine wine, they get better with age.

I also heard SFGADV. was getting a coaster themed after Spce Cowboys No Joke. I saw this on www.thrillnetwork.com

Accually, 3 train operation would NOT increase capacity. It would increase train stacking. A short, 2 train operation coaster can have just as high a capacity as a long 3 train operation coaster. Think about it, a train covers shorter track faster than longer track, so there isn't enough room for a 3rd. If there was, it would result in stacking, keeping capacity the same, all the while making you, the person stuck on the stacked train mad at the "bad ride ops" which theoretically can't dispatch any faster.
+ It's a coaster, B&M, Arrow, Vekoma, Intamin, whatever, any way, it's a coaster!
+ Small and clonable...
- How small is it? Is it small enough to fit on Whizzer's footprint at SFGAm? I hope it isn't...

Sammy resides in a popcorn box 8 inches under as of 10/24 4:30PM. Sammy was my cockatiel.

+B&M

-only 120 feet tall

+nice color scheme

-probably another Batman themed coaster

+will be an intense and explosive ride

To support TrBiggar, a third train wouldn't do anything for this ride.  The bottleneck is the loading at the station, and if the ride is short enough so there's always a train in the station (like on Talon or the B:TR's), then it will have just as much capacity as a longer three train operation.

The legend lives!

TRBiggar, you are SO right on this one...three trains not only causes stacking, it prevents riders from arriving in the station full of the excitement from the ride.  It may not sound like much, but adds greatly to the anticipation of oncoming riders, and those waiting in line (think about Raven/Legend arriving in the station with riders still SCREAMING).  Stacking=Bad!

Also, very sorry to hear about Sammy, I'm sure he knew he was loved...

Why does everyone say that this ride's cloneability (is that a word?) is a good thing. I'd rather see no clones. So in 2003, when your home park announces they'll be getting a small, cloned B&M, you'll be happy? Doubt it. You'll start complaining, why didn't we get a custom?! The GP doesn't know the difference, but the enthusiast does.

All I wanted for SFA this year was a clone of Georgia Schorcher. But then again, I'm *not really* an enthusiast anyway...
onto the merits of this post
+ it's a B&M (PERIOD)
+ it *should* be intense
- it's going to a park I wont be going to soon
- it's not going to PKD, SFA or Hershey
