SFNE will it live up to expectations?

SFNE is finally shaping up into a good park so everyone says MikeMir87 and I are going to SFNE for a class trip on june 24 and the both of us are really exicited about this trip. I am just worried about the park and if it has gotten better then what it was last time I vistited anyone been there lately?

Hey,

I'm going to SFNE for a class trip on the 24th also :)

SFNE has improved a lot from the old Riverside-- with S:RoS and the new Batman coaster, you're sure to have a great time. I just recommend staying away from Mind Eraser if you don't want a headache for the rest of the day. If you haven't experienced SROS yet, you're in for the ride of your life!

Well it has gotten worse actually. When I went in May, every coaster was running 1 train, except Batman. I understand Flashback and thunderbolt are not capable of runnig two. But what about Mind eraser, cyclone, and "Hello", the superman accident happened almost a year ago and they still have not ran the second train. Another problem was Batman waas closed for about an hour in the middle of the day, and Scream once again was runnig only two towers. Do they care about how long the guests have to wait, and how they feel about it???

I keep hoping that SFNE will get its act together so I can have a quality park closer to home, but every time I have visited (about 6 times since 2000), I am disappointed. I had one awesome visit when I caught the park with a small crowd and actually running two trains on Superman - that was early 2000. Since then, I have returned a few more times BEFORE the accident and each of those times they were running one train on Superman. Then I visited on Memorial Day and the Superman was STILL (and is still up to now as far as I know) running one train. I have NEVER seen all three Scream towers running despite some pretty big crowds. One training Superman BEFORE the accident with a line that overflowed the queues is not a sign of a park that is headed in the right direction in my opinion. If they cared, they'd at least put two more ops on their coasters to speed up checking of restraints and for god sake open the airgates as soon as the train parks - don't wait for every last person on the platform to leave. Say what you want about this park turning around, but it hasn't happened yet. I sincerely hope it does. As much as I'd like to believe that it is somehow not the park's fault that Superman still isn't running two trains, I can't. It has been close to a year. Rides are constructed, tested and opened in less time than that and they are still putzing around with trying to get one more train operational - I'm not buying all their excuses.

Well They better have 2 trains on Superman on the 24th or theirs gonna be trouble!

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone

I will be there at the 24th too! I sure hope they will run two trains on superman. If not then, I will wait till they start the two train operation. I dont care if I have to wait all summer.

SFNE's Superman's the best! check out my new photo in my info page.

I agree with MDOmnis and B&M Rocks. I was there in May, and capacity is far from the main concern here. One train operations throughout the park despite 25-45 minute waits. If you expect to stand in long lines all day, then SFNE will live up to your expectations. If not, ditch the trip, and go to Lake Compounce. I will probably not return to SFNE until they get their act together or they get a new coaster again. It's too bad, because there are some quality rides there, but standing in long lines for coasters I've already ridden just isn't my idea of a good time.

There's probably going to be trouble then. You should hope for the best but expect the worst regarding a two train operation on Superman.

I will say this, though. Whatever wait you must endure will be worth it. The ride is simply awesome, better than any I've been on. B:DK is another great coaster only too short.

SFNE is my home park, and I must say that this year is a lot worse than last. Even with the addition of B:DK, the bad capacity all around tends to kill a day. However, if you just want to get some power laps on S:RoS in, you can get 5 or so on even the busiest days, and ~20 on lighter days.

AC?, RB?, MF?, DD?, PR? Who can keep track of it all?

WOAH! You guys are still in school at that time???I get out this week. I wish my class would take a trip to SFNE, however we live 5 minutes from Agawam (SFNE) so they expect us to go alone on our own time. Still hoping for a LC trip!

Make it to SFNE for S:Ros and BDK!!!!
