SFNE: TRACK SIGHTING

I was at school today, staring out the window towards the highway when i saw two flatbed trucks with what looked to be supports on the back heading towards hartford, which is also the way to sfne
This is great news, we can only hope and keep our fingers crossed!

SFNE 2001
Hopefully I'll have all the fun I can STAND!
Guys, I'm sorry, but we aren't getting anything. It's way, way to late to start building. There's no way Batwing will be done for opening day. What makes you think this will? Trust me guys, we aren't getting anything. Plus, wouldn't you rather nothing this season and 2 coasters more 2002, rather than one this season and one next season? I like the first scenario better.
To sfne:ros, if you're lying, I am asking you, please tell us. We won't think any less of you, we all want this to happen but let's get realistic. So if you just wanna spice up the forums, please tell us all!
NO, Im not lying. I saw something that LOOKED like track. I never said I was 100% sure. Who knows that they haven't started it yet. Who knows it can be deep in the park and cant be seen. I dont expect a huge coaster. I think there definately is a chance that we will get one, but I doubt it will be open by opening day. But then again look at X, that won't be open until summer. Whats to say we cant have one open late.
HOPEFULLY, six flags will announce soon. we are like the last park to have an announcement. maybe they saved the best for last and there really is a one-of-a-kind coaster somewhere in the back of the park. I hope I am right and did see it. otherwise we will have to settle for another year of superman (THE BEST TIME TO GO ON THIS IS A FRIDAY NIGHT! I went and NO ONE was there. I walked on 5 or 6 times within a half hour. I never waited in those crazy lines)

No SFGAm has not announced officially yet.

What is life without it's ups and downs
Ok, if we look at SROS's post, we can see that he saw supports. Can we get more specific? What color were they? Also, round supports could be for any number of things besides new roller coasters, and Hartford isn's exactly right next door to SFNE.

Well I can live without a coaster. We were spoiled with a capital S last year. I just don't know if I should believe this rumor because so many other coaster track sitings have been said and nothing has been announced about them. However I am confident that Six Flags likes SFNE and is planning to turn into something good
They were white from what i could see and i saw about 4 supports total.
Well, the color scheme matches past reports, which means one of two things: Six Flags has done a spectacular job keeping this coaster secret, or there is some other construction project in the Springfield area that uses white steel that can be easily mistaken for coaster track. As for my opinion, well, I'm not optimistic.

I want a new coaster as much as anyone, but I don't think that SFNE would go through all the trouble to keep it a secret this long.

Guys maybe there supports for the new basketball hall of fame in Springfield. I don't know thats just a guess.....
I can definitely take another year of SROS. It wouldn't bother me all that much. You guys gotta look at it this way: If we get this coaster this year, the 2002 expansion will probably only have one coaster and maybe a waterpark expansion. It would be AWESOME if they gave us this coaster as an 'accident' and still gave us two coasters next year, but I doubt it. But if they are building this, it would have to be in the parking lot. It wouldn't be finished by the parks opening date and therefore would have to be out of the way of the geusts.
Hey SROS, I'd personally rather have one coaster this year and then another next year. I can get just as excited for one coaster as I can for two. I'm not expecting that to happen, rather I see us getting a big coaster and a small one next year since 2002 has been stated to be a big expansion year. I'm seeing a B&M looper, and an Intamin Impulse. I think those coasters would perfectly fit the park's needs, and would really put SFNE on the map as a great coaster destination. A CCI woodie like The Boss or Villain would also be nice, but I'd rather see some good looping steel on the Connecticut River since we really don't have any right now. *** This post was edited by themeparkne on 2/16/2001. ***
Sweet...I just moved this to the top of the list! Just messin.
Umm.... Ok.
I really wish that the track sighting was true but people have been by the park to get pics of Cyclones refitting and if a new coaster was being built some signs should have been witnessed before this. But I hope you're right *** This post was edited by coasterbob34 on 3/1/2001. ***
I believe that SFNE has already said that there arn't any major additions this year. But next year they are getting rid of the parking lot around the water park for more room. Plenty of room for a nice big looper!
