Despite the terrorist attacks, the mood at the park remained cheery, even as a moment of silence across the park was observed at 7:00pm. We arrived at the park at 5:30 and Oktoberfest was in full swing. German flags, music, and characters everywhere, as well as bales of hay and pumpkins everywhere we looked. Superman and Scream!, as well as every other ride in the park, was a walk-on, literally. SROS's train was never full and neither was the Scream passenger cart. We rode SROS about 15 times as, well as every coaster there about 5 times. Also, some FYI on the new coaster. The area it's supposed to go has been fenced off. The lift hill will go right near SROS's overbank turn and will face out into the Ct. River. The lift will be perpendicular to Mind Eraser's lift. Not a huge area of space will be taken by this, either, which means more room for expansion in a couple years. The interlocking corkscrews will be out near the twin speed slides of the Island Kingdom. If we are lucky, track will arrive in late october so we can snap some pics!
