SFNE Sets Announcement Date

http://www.sixflags.com/parks/newengland/index.asp

According the the SFNE website, the formal announcement for the S&S Sky Swatter and the White Water West Spinning Rapids Ride from SFAW will be Thursday February 23, exactly one year to the day from the 2005 announcements of Pandamonium and Typhoon.

Nothing too big... just wanted you all to be aware of the upcoming announcement...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Worst kept secret evah.

I think these are *excellent* additions to the park. A (relatively) unique flat with solid capacity and an amazing ride (IMO), and a water ride with very good throughput as well....important for a park that is as busy as SFNE seems to be....

Wouldn't it be incredible if the announcement was for something OTHER than these two rides? ;)

:)

"SFNE introduces 'Bench-the Ride', voted most popular park attraction at the 2005 IAAPA expo, and 'Trashcan Alley', sure to please people of all ages who like to be surrounded by trashcans at all times. These two new attractions are the perfect family friendly addition for SFNE. SFNE is also pleased to present 'The Money Pit' for our teenaged guests. Throw your money into our new 20' deep hole and see if anything happens. Usually nothing at all happens, but who knows, you may get lucky!"

The suspense is killing me. :) *** Edited 2/10/2006 7:39:28 PM UTC by CedarPoint420***

Hmm...we must've ridden different rides. :-P

I thought the ride was decent, but not great - still prefer a good frisbee or chaos.

Capacity was terrible, but it may have been a policy change. They were checking everybody twice (laps, then shoulders) and there was 1 op per side who had to squeeze through a pretty tight space to get through. It was taking about 6 minutes per cycle. :(

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Hmm, they send Slammer up at Thorpe in about two minutes flat, so it is possible to get quick dispatch times. Have faith in SFNE as they seem to do a good job with the rest of their rides.

You're not funny.

Funny how SFNE is actually putting up their SFAW additions in 06 while SFDL,TGE & SFA are not.
Just because a ride is sitting in the parking lot does not mean that it will be installed at that park! How many times do you have to hear that before you get the point?
^We're still counting... :)

A day at the park is what you make it!

At least you don't run around acting like it's guaranteed to happen. :)
Nah... I don't need to. I don't feel SFA needs a new coaster. I'm with Shapiro... You can fix a park up to be pretty nice with that $20 mil and I'm hoping that's what SFA does with the money for the next couple of years. :) *** Edited 2/11/2006 10:12:29 PM UTC by coasterguts***

*cough*bathrooms by batwing*cough*.

Bathrooms, hell I'd settle for a waterfountain at this point.
