Is it true its always happy hour here? If it is I'd like to stay a while....
Last season's opening day was very crowded. There were people escorting the whole crowd down to S: RoS so nobody would run and fall and push. When we got down to S: RoS the man at the entrance wouldn't let us in yet until another ten minutes. The crowd was getting restless. When he opened the line the crowd got pushy and it wasn't pretty. Nothing serious happened but there was a lot of pushing. Now with B: TDK, the crowds will be bigger and maybe more pushy.
Just head off to Cyclone and ride that ten times and then make your way over to S: RoS and B: TDK.
Here's another question. Is everybody going to head for B: TDK? Does that mean that you could get a few walk-ons on S: RoS? That never happens often.

TOP 5
1. Alpengeist, 2. Magnum XL-200, 3. Superman: Ride of Steel (SFNE), 4. Volcano: The Blast Coaster, 5. Apollo's Chariot
Close Calls 1. Grizzly (PKD), 2. Batwing, 3. Montu
We should be lucky because of a couple things:
1. One of the agreements with the town's complaints about traffic is that they will go low on advertising this year and this coaster will not be advertised as a big scream machine that everyone has to ride(you know, not like they did with paying to show a Superman:Ride of Steel commercial on 11 networks every 5 mintues)
2.From Springfield to Fraighmingham, 12 middle schools are going to be in Washington D.C. for the entire opening week.
3.How much of the general public has heard about this? Less than 1% practically.
4.Cannobie Lake is opening first, and grant it, they will be massively advertising Star Blaster which will tempt many of the New Englanders that don't know better.
5.Not as much of the people up here in Massachusetts rush out for opening day, especially because most school in the state take some sort of trip to the park in May. You'll probably have more jolly ole' Conneticuters at the front gate.
(Most of the general public up here that goes to SFNE have also made the voyage to SFGAdv, in which you'll here a lot of boasting about whenever coasters and parks come up. you'll also find numerous Nitro/Batman & Robin/Medusa/Nitro T-shirts at AMS and Framingham High.)

I heard the weather was going to be cloudy on SAT. that should keep some of the crowd away. By the way vertigo in CT. they have been showing SFNE commercials every 5 mins.for the last 2 weeks. I go every year to openning day and last year wasn't that crowded. Ajrides. B&MRULES!!!
