SFNE Construction Update

SFNE has posted a TON of new constuction pictures of Mr. Six's Pandemonium and Typhoon. Mr. Six's Pandemonium seems to be well under way, but it's tough to tell if it will be ready by opening day or not. The deep ditches the ride will dive into will really add to the fun of the ride. Typhoon is really only up to it's footers, but as the waterpark opens a full month after the regular park, it only makes sense that they would be further along on the coaster. Enjoy!

That's such a neat ride. I'd really love to have one in my neighborhood.

Woah those trenches are cool - I expected this to just sit on flat land and be the typical clone coaster but it looks like they modified it a bit for the terrain - awesome.

Wow, It really does look awesome, Not much space between the ride and the Scrambler it seems...

I think they will make opening day...the track will be done in a week (two weeks max) at the speed they are going. *** Edited 3/13/2005 9:30:47 PM UTC by Alex Nagel***

Very True Alex...I mean, the verticle progress you see in those pics took place in only seven days. It is going up pretty fast.

More than one Six Flags park posting construction photos of their new rides? Hell really must have frozen over.
Let's see...I have 5.5 days of vacation minus King's Dominion next week, minus the possible Coasterbuzz event at Dorney. Damn it, driving to SFNE is looking awfully tempting again. To paraphrase another website's awards, that gets the "That looks like fun" award.

Both additions look sweet.

Wow, it's done... didn't believe it until I saw it for myself. That means verticle construction took all but 12 days. Yet it took almost three times that amount of time to do the site work/footers. Well, either way, it's just a station, some landscaping (which also appears to be started), and several dozens of hours of testing away from being open.

New construction pics of Typhoon are also up, but they are still working on site prep/footers, so it's not much to see.

Looks great! Hey SFMM...how about dueling spinners? Nah...you're going for something bigger in 2006.
