SFMWgetting nothing in '02?

I may be acting spoiled (and I think I am ;)) but I'm a little disappointed that SFMW may not get anything for 2002 after all the hype about the Hyper coaster. Oh well, maybe they'll fix up the park and we'll get something big in 2003.

Oh yes its true its true, but at this time last year did we have any idea we would be getting V2?! There is hope! But our park simply needs to buy at least part of the fairgrounds, becuase land is no mas! I would like to see some what of a Monorail from the parking lot. It would be a great way to start and end an SFMW day. They could have a audio and video dialouge about the park and things to do their, as well as have alot of sponcers. SFMW could make lots of money with this!

Nice monorail idea, Todd. That's definitely one thing I wouldn't mind seeing installed. I'd also like to see a renovation of the park's entrance. Moving it up would be one thing, but it would be cool if it also got a new and updated facade (I was impressed with SFWOA's last year). I'd rather see general improvements made to the park next year (like maybe this new entrance idea) and some widening of walkways before another coaster is put in.

All the pathways need widened,and the stairs overby Medusa (sorry if im wrong about the location i havent been to SFMW in about a year).I really like Todds idea about the Monorail, its kinda a long walk from the parking lot to the Main Gate.

The pic below is a relatively wide path at SFMW, imagine these crowds on a path that's only wide enough for three people - and there are lots of paths like that in the park.

you ARE spoiled. Carowinds hasn't gotten anything since Top Gun in '98, thank God that were getting at least something for '02 but its no V2 or anything like that!

I'll agree with what most here are saying that the pathways all need to be widened. SFMW is my homepark and on busy days, a lot of the paths (the one going past Monsoon Falls is a good example) are just packed.
I like the monorail idea too. That walk from the parking lot to the entrance is long. If SFMW doesn't do the monorail, at least increase the number trams that are run and make the trips more frequent.
And Todd's right about one thing. This time last year we didn't know SFMW would get V2 so let's not give up hope yet. But even if we don't get something, at the very least the park could be fixed up more.

Someone call the WHAmbulance! My goodnes...First off, Top Gun was built in 1999. Then in 2000 you get Flying Super Saturator. Then in 2002 you get Ricochet. 3 coasters in 4 years is horrible, I feel your pain. (/sarcasm)

Everyone who feels like they continuously get screwed out of coasters, get over yourselves. Even SFKK doesn't get screwed! ('97 Chang, '98 Twisted Sisters, '99 Rapids, '00 Wild Mouse, '01 Skycoaster). Just because you're not getting record breaking coasters every year doesn't mean you're not getting good rides every year.

I especially love it when SFWoA locals complain, that really makes me laugh!

Just goes to show you can never make everyone happy.
