SFMM/Knotts/Disney Trip Questions

Alrighty I get to take a So. California coaster trip March 24-30, and I plan on visiting SFMM, Knotts and some Disney stuff (we get in free to the Disney stuff!).

I'm wondering what crowds I should expect @ Knotts on a weekday during this time, and @ MM on a Saturday.

Also, what should I expect as far as ride closings/openings?

Thanks, and pray for me that I don't have a stroke out of excitement...

I don't think Knott's should be to bad but expect a large crowd at SFMM, because that s Sprig Break Week. I haven't been to either but I have asked similar questions because I am going from April 18-27 to Vegas and So. Cal. I dont think you should worry about ride closings because Spring Break's they are busy so all the rides will probably be open.

Oh, one more thing - do they have QBots @ SFMM?

No Q-bot's as of our visit on Feb 1st. Just fastlane tickets for certain rides. (none of the good biggies)

You say that those dates are spring break... What about the following week? I'll be at SFMM and KBF 4/1-4/4... Any info?

"You think you know me..."

I reccomend going to Knotts and Disneyland on weekdays. Knotts will be a TOTAL GHOST TOWN. Walk on for Xcelerator, Supreme Scream, Monte, Plunge, and a good 5-15 minutes for Ghostrider. The longest line at the park will be for the chicken dinner resturant. Normal southern californian spring breaks are 1 work week beginning the 14th of april. Both of you will be fine. Disneyland will be comfortable, with a few waits on the big rides. CA adventure should be pretty empty. SFMM on say sunday would be light, saturday moderate. SFMM hasn't been getting a lot of crowds lately, on the other hand knott's attendence was up 8% in the last quarter.
All SoCal attractions: Avoid during the weekend esp. SFMM and KBF and Disney!

California Spring break is like 4/10-4/28 so your March dates should be fine.

The last time my brother and I went KBF on a Wednesday, easily got a dozen rides on Xcellerator. There was only a trains wait any time. everything else 'cept GR was a walkon.

If you must go SFMM on a weekend go Sunday but March should be OK.

We just did the same trip a few weeks ago and I was very surprised to find all of the rides open at SFMM and Knott's. The Matterhorn was down for rehab at Disneyland but it is now open again.

Don't forget to utilize the Fastpass system at Disney (it is free). And you can get a FastPass for Pirates of the Carribean while you already have a Fastpass for another ride as for some reason that Fastpass machine isn't linked to the others.

I would love to go to SFMM on Sunday, but we have to leave then to get home before school starts again...and we've already got out tickets.

I've said this many times and I'll say it again: when it comes to crowds plan for the worst and be pleasantly surprised if they don't materialize. Parks are *always* more crowded on a weekend. If a ride is notoriously low-capacity or has a history of downtime ride it first.

In other words, plans for big crowds and hit X, Deja Vu, and Xcelerator at park opening.

I'm listening to you Mamoosh, and taking notes! ;) Thanks for all the advice, I can't wait to use it. March 15 is just around the corner and I can't wait!
