Each park has its good qualities and Knott's has everything else that SFMM lacks that allows it go head to head in fighting for a guest. Magic Mountain of course is the king in the roller coaster department, save the wood category, which Knott's supplies for GREATLY with GhostRider. Knott's also takes pride in providing many non-coaster thrills don't need any introduction as they are the largest of their breed (EG Supreme Scream, Perilous Plunge, etc.), Plus, KBF has the theme, the nostalgia, and great atmosphere. But like said above, both parks are GREAT and you need to visit both, if possible.
