sfmm on winter weekends?

Are there a lot of rides that are closed during this time? I haven't gone in the winter ever and I'm going either sat or sun and. Also does anyone think they know what the crowds will be like this sat or sun?? thanks.

P.S. I know I shouldn't ask this on this site, but know one on other sites could answer this. thanks

Crowds are always lighter in the winter.  Still some rides, namely Riddlers Revenge, Deja Vu, Batman, and Goliath still command lengthy queues, so get there early, and ride those first!  I have never seen any rides closed except Superman on occasion.  That is my experience anyway.  Have fun!

There is usually at least one or two coasters down for rehab, but it's a crap shoot to try and guess which ones will be giong on or off at any given time. Best idea is to call Guest Relations. (then again is that ever the best idea?) They should at least be able to tell you if an existing ride is open or not.

Most (if not all) coasters will be running less than the max number of trains, but crowds are not usally bad at all this time of year.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but This weekend and next weekend are promo days. Bring any toy valued  at $10 for donation and recieve free entry into the park. I had the misfortune of going last year and it was a bit too crowded for my taste. It is certainly not like a summer weekend, but its gonna be the busiest off-season weekend of the year.

As for the rides: I do know that Ninja cant run if the temperature is too low. I believe 56 degrees. Bank on Flashback being shut down (no loss there), and maybe one other (probably Goldrusher). Most the popular rides should be good to go for the holiday season.

I was planning a tip for next weekend, but reschduled for the following as to avoid the "free admission" day :(

LoadedG, I thought the $10 toy thing was at Knotts?  Maybe it is at both?

I remember on a thread that ran during thanks giving, that someone said that the best day to go was superbowl sunday. I think I need to make plans.

I hope X is open.

That would seem like a good day because all the over-weight people that are usally lurching around SFMM will be sitting on the couch eating chips and soda while the games on.

Superbowl Sunday is a good day for any extracuricular acticvities, as many people who woulod be out doing other thing opt for a day at home or a superbowel party. Crowds are light everywhere.
