I'm thinking of going to SFMM on March 31, Easter sunday. Do you think the park will be crowded? Has anybody ever been there on easter before. I can't decide if it'd be better to go the 31st or the 1st. I don't really care if rides are closed except for X, Goliath, B:TR, RR, and maybe Deja Vu. So how should the crowds be?

P.S. - You DEFINATELY want a chance to ride Deja Vu. It is one of those "so-much-better-than-expected" rides.-----------------

I second that. No ride has surprised me as much as Déjà Vu did. It's utterly incredible. One of Magic Mountain's higher end coasters.

Tough call, HurricaneG......
A lot of people (kids, teens) will be on thier Spring Break. This could bring larger than anticipated crowds to the park on Monday. But in general, I would always choose a weekday over a weekend. But over Easter??? Hit and Miss.
PS - Go Directly to X FIRST, and try to get there EARLY. If they are running only one train then the line is EXTREMELY slow. If they are running two it shouldnt be all that bad, but still fills up quick. And you wont know how many trains are running until the ride starts operating for the day. After hitting X, high-tail it back to Deja Vu, which also has poor capacity (no matter what).

i'll definatley be leaving early, i've heard way too many horror stories of the season pass line.
here's some irony, SFWoA starts their pass processing on march 28th, the day i leave for SfMM! Im getting screwed $10.

Sorry to bring up an old topic but I will be making my first trip to SoCal this April over Easter weekend. Any recommendations? I plan on going to Knott's with my platinum pass on Good Friday and SFMM on Easter Sunday. Should I bother with a Flash Pass in order to guarantee I hit the rides I want to hit. Or are crowds historically light enough I should be okay. I want to get as much riding in as I can since I have no idea when I will make it back.
Thanks for any tips.
I would wait and see how crowds are before getting a Flash pass. I have been to other parks on Easter and usually in the morning the parks are empty and by the afternoon crowds pick up somewhat but they are still not too bad compared to a regular day.
Wow, that is a zombie thread and a half. The instant I saw SFWoA, I knew we weren't in the present anymore.
