SFMM needs a darkride and more flatrides.

I think that SFMM needs a darkride and more flatrides. I prefer a Vekoma Madhouse.
I think that a spinning mouse like Exterminator would be in order. And maybe some of those Zamperla flyer things.

What is life without geniuses?
SFMM definitely needs some more flat rides. I'm not sure, but I think they have around 9. And most of the time, not all of them are operational. On my visit to SFMM, people were using the gondolas of the Acme Atom Smasher as benches for reading, eating, etc. A darkride would also be a nice addition, that is, if it ever happens.
I really don't think they do.
How many flat rides does a theme park really need???
IMHO nine flat rides is more than enough, but a dark ride would be pretty cool.. *** This post was edited by DirtyVern on 1/7/2001. ***
I agree with Coastergenius. A Spinning Mouse set up like the Exterminator would be the only way you could do it. MM has a rough clientle, inspite of some people downplaying of this fact. A regular style dark ride would be totally trashed before Labor Day.
People don't really go to SFMM to ride flatrides. The ones that are open never have lines anyway.
I think a few flat rides would be good for SFMM. A Chaous like at CP and a ride like the Hammerhead at SFMW would be my preferences. But when you are trying to ride 15 roller coasters are you even going to have time to stop and wait in a slow moving line for a flat ride?

Millenium Force; The future is riding on it.
MM is realy in need of some flat rides. I can only think of 5 flat rides that are operating. Buccaneer (swinging ship), Swashbuckler (swings), Scrambler, Sierra Twist, and one in Gotham City (cant think of the name). 6 if you count the bumper cars. Now that is just sad. I mean, all those rides are over 10 years old. That is why they have no lines. Also, that is why MM needs some new flat rides. *** This post was edited by Metrock on 1/7/2001. ***
From some of the trip reports I've read recently it sounds like they should also concentrate on ways to handle capacity problems along with adding more flat rides. Packed Parks aren't usually fun for the consumer and I think that parks can actually draw in more people if they set up a BGW type of approach to crowds.

However, I could be WAY off my rocker here

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
Flat rides DO help capacity. Just ask Cedar Point.
