Well the day had finally come, i was going to magic mountain. I had even started dreaming about this day, i was that obsessed about this theme park.
I was a bit dissapointed to read the day before i got to the park that X had finally broken it's last working train, so was closed indefinately. However there are so many coasters at the park i did not mind too much. I was just looking forward to riding new coasters. I am so bored of the ones in England and Australia.
I got to the park at 9.15 and was about 4th in line to get in. The weather was glorious so i had no idea how busy the park would be, as i was not sure if L.A. schools had broken up for holidays yet. So i ran and bought 8 fast lane passes, over the top yes, but i wanted this day to be perfect, no queing for me!!
I sprinted to Deja vu, but could not seem to run past Viper, this huge looking coaster, which i had seen on Discovery channel and the film Space cowboys, so i had to stop and have my first ride of the day.
The coaster reviews are in order i went on them. The scores breakdown goes like this. 0 means the worst. 5 mean ok to ride. 10 means amazing, in the top 10 in the world.
Viper. I loved this coaster, i rode it five times in total with no waiting at all. The back is great for speed and the hangtime you get in those final very slow corkscrews, however on my final ride, which was at the back, i did get some roughness and headbanging. I did not experience this in the middle or the front. The front seat gives great visuals. Overall this is a great fun ride, with lots of inversions, including the worlds tallest loop, but you can get a bit shaken up. 7/10
Deja vu. The ride was not open when i got there at 10.15, they said they were testing it, as the ride was tested, i noticed that is was very slow through the cobra roll on the way back. I sumised that they were waiting for the temp. to rise, so the ride does not stall. I was correct, the ride opened at 11. Man i loved this ride, having been on old boomerangs, i did not know what to expect, but this is completely different and sooooo much better. The way you are dragged up the vertical spike is pretty spooky, just hanging there looking down. The ride is very smooth, with no head banging, the inversions are great as well. L loved this ride. I only managed to get on it once, which was a shame, but the queues were massive, and you can't use fast passes on it. 8/10
Psyclone. I am not much of a woodie fan, and i heard bad things about this ride, but it is not too bad, yes it does throw you around but which woodie does'nt. I only rode it once, that was enough, no queue at all 5/10
Goldrusher. Not sure why this is called goldrusher, is there supposed to be a theme here??? Pretty average coaster, but the helix at the end is unexpected, the guy in front of me thought so as well as his hat went flying. Five minute wait both times. Rode twice 4/10
Superman the Escape. Having ridden Tower of terror in Australia a lot before, i knew what to expect, it is a great launch, gives you a huge buzz, i would have liked it to be racing, but can understand why it does not. Rode it twice, 5 mins wait both times. 7/10
Ninja. I liked this coaster, the flying in the trees and close to the log flume, makes this different to most of the other coasters in the park, there is a good bit of swinging, and speed, but i hate the lift hill at the end, why don't they let you out at the bottom of the second hill, and just send the empty cars up to the top. It is all set up to do that. It would make the ride more memorable and less of an anti-climax. Rode twice no wait at all. 6/10
Riddlers revenge. I knew i would like this ride when i heard it, i am a huge B/M fan, and the sound this coaster makes, wow, it certainly builds the anticipation, especially with this being my first stand up coaster ever. This is also were the fast passes came in handy. I used 4 of them, the wait was about 1 1/2 other wise. Rode at the back and the front. The front is fun for the visuals, but lacks in the speed department. I prefered the back, there is less speed lag. This coaster is amazing, the huge first loop, is just spine tingling, the ride is long as well, which is always nice, but the intensity does not last the whole ride. I am not sure if standing up makes the coaster more fun, than say if it were a sit down or inverted, but it is kind of fun, with it being different. Rode it 5 times. Wait time was about 10 mins and 15 mins for the front (fast passes used) 8/10
Batman. This is the first time i have ridden a Batman inverted. I love these rides, as my 2 favourite coasters in the world are Nemesis and Montu, so i had great expectations, i was not dissapointed. This ride is so intense, yes it is short, but that is what is great about it, there is no letting up at all. The in-line twist leading in to the second loop is great, but the corkscrews were my favourite, especially at the back, my god the whip as you are flung round them is amazing. That makes the back a fun place to sit or is that hang, but it has to be front for the visuals, as the coaster is so fast, the lack of speed is not a problem. I can now see why this coaster has been cloned so much, it is small so does not take up much space, it has a huge capacity, there were no queues at all, and it is a great ride. I rode it 5 times, no wait at all. 10/10
Collossus. I has hoping for good things from this ride and the first time, when i was seated at the back, dissapointed, but the second time at the front was much better. Much smoother and more airtime. Kind of odd, but true. I actaully enjoyed it a lot. 2 rides, no wait at all. 7/10
Goliath. Wow what a ride, big queues for this one, and i can see why, that first drop is great especially with the tunnel, the mist was working and it definately adds to it. It is so funny watching people lower their arms as they go through it. The front is great for visuals again, but the back is better for the speed and the g's through the helix. The first time when the trim breaks went off, i was cursing, but i am glad they did, that helix is awe inspiring, the g force is huge, what a blast. I rode it 3 times using fast passes each time, the wait would have been over an hour otherwise. 9/10
Revolution. This is actually not that bad, the trim breaks before you go through the loop wreck it though, but the loop is fun and there are some fun gorund hugging helixes.Rode twice, no queues. 6/10
Overall i had the best day, the park was very clean, except the chewing gum on the goldrusher life hill, and some dirty tables, the staff seemed a bit grumpy and they did not tell us anything when Deja Vu was testing, but they did their jobs quickly and efficiently. This is without doubt an amazing park, and deserves all the accolades it gets. It could do with some new flat rides, but for coasters, i don't think anywhere could beat it.
Hope you liked this trip report, it is a bit long, i have just noticed, oh well.

Sounds good. I'm going there this Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for Coastercon. I can't wait. I just hope X will be open. Even if it was just one day and I only get to ride it once. Oh well.

~Santa Cruz Trip Report just added with lots of pix!
I did enjoy batman more than goliath basically because i am an inversion freak. Deja vu i only got to ride once, i am sure if i rode it more, it would have got the same score.
I can not say enough what a great time i had there, it was on my birthday, and had to be the best day ever!!
I am now in vegas ( my god it is hot) so expect coaster reports for speed, manhantan express and canyon blaster soon.
