SFMM Last Week Of May...

Hi...I'm going to SoCal the last week of May, from the May 22 to May 30...
I'm staying at anaheim and I'll rent a car the day that I go to SFMM...
I've been 2 times to SFMM but in July, and I use my common sense and I know I'll be less crowded on may and also to know that It will be less crowded on a weekday than on a weekend....

My question is...I can go on Tuesday or I can go on Friday...but on tuesday the park closes at 6pm and on friday closes at 10pm.........I really don't know what to do, since I believe there's more chance for closed rides on tuesday...do anyone knows if they close rides when there are very low crowds at SFMM, or should I take all day on Friday with most of the rides open???

I would go on Friday. Get to the park before it opens. Hit some of the big rides right away (X, Golaith, Riddler, Deja Vu). The lines don't get really long until a couple of hours after it opens.

After your morning coaster extravaganza, pay the extra 15 dollars to get the 4 Fast Lane passes...(you purchase these in the park, not at the gate...don't buy them right away because you'll want to get to some big rides first). With your Fast Lane passes, you'll get another ride on Goliath, Scream, Riddler, and probably something like Revolution. (X is rarely a Fast Lane ride...neither is Deja Vu)

If you can last the whole day, the crowds empty out about an hour and a half before closing. Make sure you get in the line for X before 9pm. That way, you'll get at least 2 rides on X (one in the morning and one at night)

As far as the crowds are concerned, tuesday would probably be less crowded however i don't think a friday in may would be too ridiculous, but you never know.

If i were you I would go on the friday just because i don't think the crowds should be too bad that day, but u never know.

but then again, i don't have a crystal ball

More than one. If you're lucky only 2 coasters will be down. (Flashback of course, and probably Deja Vu)

thanks guys...I think I'll take friday....So that I go on monday to KBF...I closes at 6pm too, but there's no problem with that...I'll go on Tuesday to LA, Wednesday and Thursday to DL/DCA, Friday SFMM and Sat and Sunday at DL/DCA...Disneyland will be the nearest thing to hell, but there's not so much I can do about it, since is Memorial Weekend and also the 50th Anniversary...but Fantasmic and the Electrical Parade run only on weekends...

Be aware that the Friday you'll be there is the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend, so I'd expect almost any park to be more crowded than a regular Friday. (People will want to start the long weekend early, and schools will have field trips on a day that doesn't break up the week.) To avoid crowds, I'd pick any weekday over that Friday.
