SFMM: Flashback's Trip To The Back Of The Park

What does everyone think of Flashback's future loation, paint job, new trains, and name change? I think it's a great idea because then Hurricane Harbor can expand and make better water slides. I think the new trains will make the ride quieter, and less bumpy. SFMM is doing a good thing not destroying a one-of-a-kind coaster!!!
I'm all for it. If they can manage to run Flashback free of OTSR, it could be one of the best rides in the park.

Maybe I missed something, but where is it moving to and what else are the changes? (what color, etc.)

Either I'm just blind or must have missed it, but I'm still interested.

There is big time clearing going on a the back of the park near the go carts, this is rumored to be where Flasback is moving. It will be painted, given new B&M cars and re-named(again). Flashback hasn't been running most of the summer because of the noise, and moving it is a great idea.

Yup, I heard it will be painted black and yellow, and be named "Blackout." They should put some floorless trains on it! That would be sweet!!!
They can't put Floorless trains on Flashback, 'cause MM is getting a record breaking 8 inversion floorless in 2002. Too bad CP is getting the 9 inversion floorless in 2002.

I do hope it gets smoother. When I rode it back in 98 I came off with a migrane! My wife and I said we'd never ride it again, but if they're making improvements, then another ride we may have to take (at least when we head out to that other coast again). I liked it except for the pain I felt afterwards. Maybe Blackout would be an appropriate name for it, I almost did. :-)

I rode it when MM first got the thing and I didnt like it. I wasn't in pain or anything but it was just boring. I never rode it again. Maybe new trains with no OTSR's and I might go give it a try though. I would prefer though that they enclose it and give us an indoor ride.

LONG LIVE ARROW DYNAMICS!!
Man, that ride stunk when it was brand new as Z-Force at SFGAm. It only lasted 3 years there and for good reason.

What is so cool about Flashback? It was spoce to be an indoor coaster and isn't. It isn't anything real special from what I saw but i haven't ridden it!

Also if SFMM in getting an 8 inverter and CP is gonna beat it, why are they annoucing it now!!! CP just hears SFMM new coaster and just makes a bigger better one! Batman the ride , CP counters with Raptor Riddler's Revenge Cp has Mantis , Goliath , the biggest continous cirtcut coaster in the world! then cp takes the tittle with Millinum Force. At least they haven't copied Superman the worlds fastest and highest coaster!

S:TE IS A SHUTTLE COASTER!
SFMM's getting a floorless? Dope!!! Although I have ridden SFMW Medusa, a southern california floorless would be great so I would only have to drive 3 miles to SFMM and ride the greatest type of coaster! Are Flashback's hairpin drops over-banked drops or inversions?

Todd, Mantis is quite a bit smaller than Riddler's Revenge. IMO RR kicks Mantis' ***.

Does Flashback deserve all of these improvements? I would agree that they are needed to make it a better ride, but what is the point? When FB first came out, I think the novelty was the 4 across seating and the diving turns, right. Well, now B&M's are everywhere, so 4 across is no big deal. Diving turns are now outdone by diving loops, again by B&M. At least it will be able to be open in the summer.

Where did the rumors of an 8 inversion floorless come from? Sounds like wishfull thinking to me, unless I missed a press release or something.

Gotta ride 'em all!
SFMM is *NOT* buiding an 8 inversion floorless, they already have one of the best loopers in the world(Riddler's Revenge). I don't know where that came from, but I hate bogus rumors. As far as Flasback is concearned, the point is to move it away from the water park, period. And if your going to move it, why not improve it?

I wish they were building a floorless. It would be great to get a new kind of coaster. Although a dive machine would be better!

Top California 5:
1.) Medusa
2.) The Riddler's Revenge
3.) Stealth
4.) Goliath
5.) GhostRider
Simcoaster, you must have NO sense of humor. I obviously was joking about the Floorless thing. But anyway, according to Screamscape Flashback may be LEAVING the park for good next summer. Hopefully not, that'll just give CP MORE bragging rights.

Oh now you say it was a joke, yeah right. HAHAHAHAHA! Happy now?

Well obviously no one would actually know what SFMM or CP is doing in 2002 except management right??? Hey it's not my fault you were naive enough to even consider that a true statement. Anyways just drop the subject. I don't want you to hate me for no apparent reason.

Haven't you heard of thrillride? People claim to know stuff all the time. Besides, I was reffering to ChrisTA2K, not you, cause he's the one who believed you. I wanted to make sure people didn't actually believe that nonsense. Anyway, I don't hate you, I don't know you.
