SFMM 5/2/02 & 5/4/02

Associated parks:
None

First off, both days we're totally awsome!

Well my friend and I left at 8:00 to take our one hour trip to our home park SFMM for my first ride on X. We ended up arriving a little after 9:00 and got our season passes processed at 9:40 because they open it a little late. Took about five minutes then we waited in line for the gates to open. The park was open from 10:00 to 6:00. the crowd was small allday. Instead of using the usual strategy of heading to the back of the park we ran to X (Of course). I was thrid in line by the time I got there. But there was an employee blocking the line. This happened both days. I don't understand why they don't get an early start on the ride. We waited about an hour and they had barely started testing it. Then it broke down! Believe me I was exicted about riding it but I've never seen the park so empty. I couldn't imagine all the walk ons I was missing. So we went to Viper and hoped X would be running later.

Viper 8.5/10 (3 cycles) Walk on: This coaster delivers a great ride every time. Both rides were very smooth. The only headbanging I got was a little bit in the double corks. I felt stronger g's on the third loop than I ever had. Once again great ride. On to my first ride on Deja Vu.

Deja Vu 9/10 (2 cycles) 15 mins/20 mins: 4 whole minutes. That's how long it takes to load! I knew everyone said it was long but geez. All they need is 2 mins. Oh well. Besides that...WOW! This was a shocker. I knew the ride would be good, but it came up being even better than I expected. The drop looks 10 times higher when your on it. We rode thrid to last and then second to last. Going backwards through the vert loop was quite intense The best parts have to be the first drop and the end of the ride where it slowly brings you down the lift and you've got nothing but the restraints holding you. Awesomes. on to Riddlers.

Riddler's Revenge 9/10 (2 cycles) 10 mins: I love this ride. Green's never looked so good. I can never get enough. Smooth as glass like always. I was luck enough to get the airtime I got after the first corkscrew because sometimes that doesn't happen. The last corkscrew was very instense today. Likes always, awesome. We then went for some more B&M.

Batman : The Ride 8/10 (1 cycle) Walk on: Always a rush. Smooth of course. Very intense, but very short. Same old batman, same great ride. Who's up for a worn down woddie.

Colossus 5/10 (1 cycle) Walk on: On the way over we saw two people who were in front of X when we were. They had told me they waited 2 and 1/2 hours and the ride had still not ran. An employee told us it was broken down all day the day before so I figured it was giving the same trouble as yesterday. Anyway's back to Colossus. Oh, How I wish I was around in the 1970s. Imagine. No trims, Double down, No morgan trains, and of course the racing gimmick. But it just happens to be 2002 so I'll keep dreaming. It was a typical ride. Some fun drops. Slow turns. Good bunny hop back to the station. O.K. This definetly gets worse after you've been on a great like Ghostrider. Folling the park layout we hit up Goliath.

Goliath 9/10 (2 cycles) Walk on: Such a great ride. It's funny how pretty much all the airtime in the park is in the third hill. Lovely drop. Smooth, very fast and intesnse. I didn't blackout either and that's always a good thing. We got on the Log Jammer before we left to eat at endys Coming back up the hill all I watched was X. Still wasn't running. How I hoped it would later. We then took a ride on Revolution.

Revolution 6/10 (1 cycle) Walk on: Friggin' OTSR! Friggin'Trims! Oh well. It was ok. Friggin' Headbanging! lol. Atleast the loop still has good g's through the loop, sort of. We took the Orient Express and rode Ninja.

Ninja 6.5/10 (1 cycle) Walk on: Good ride. But if it wasn't for the great landscaping th score would definately go down. It still offers some good twist and turns. It's gotten slower but it's still good. We skipped Superman. We weren't interested. Went on jet stream. I still can't get over that I skipped S:TE but still went on Pysclone!

Pysclone -1/10 (1 cycle) Walk on: Please change the slogan from "The ultimate mind bender" to "The ultimate back breaker!" My excuse...It got retracked I wanted to see if it made it better. Stupid stupid stupid! I hate this ride. I hate myself for going on it. Just burn it. Please. Burn it and give me a CCI. While your at it you can buldoze that god awful Flashback. Onto Goldrusher.

Goldrusher 4/10 (1 cycle) Walk on: Great mine ride. Good Helix. Oldie but goodie. I don't care if it's slow. Still smooth and best of all it's not Pysclone. Then we got the 2 other rides on RR and Goliath. 3rd on Viper. Hey guess what X is working. We were in line and it got past six. Since my friend had anticipated he would be out by six he did have other plans. Argh! Oh well I'll hit it saturday.

Saturday

Huge crowd. Still got thrid in line on X. But I didn't get on the first train since my friend had to put his backpack in a locker. We got third of the day.

X 12/10 (2 cycles) Walk on/ 3 and 1/2 Hours: Guess who has a new number one coaster! WOW! WOW! WOW! Simply in credible *Bows down to Arrow* Let me start by saying the seats are very comfotable. Especially the headrest. Better than a pillow. After what is a long loading process, rightfully so. We are out of the station. Staring up at the sky up a slow lift building with anticipation. Then the first drop. What a freefall! This drops is bliss. The filp on it can only be described as insane. Damn, this thing is smooth. The first raven turn does show a hint of flying coaster in the beast. A great sensation. Was that a backfilp? It happened so fast! I think the half twist after the turn is an underated part of the ride that gives an awesome sensation. The second raven turn...I love this ride. Wow! what a great element. This ride...It's hard to put into words how great it is. The 3 and a half hour wait was our night ride. It seemed ten times more instense! Every needs to ride this. So great. The best. Worth a days wait. Wow.

The rest of saturday was very busy.

Deja Vu (1 cycle) 2 hours
B:TR: (2 cycles) 20 mins/10 mins
Goliath (1 cycle) 30 mins
Viper (1 cycle) 20 mins
RR (1 cycle) 45 mins

Long day all rides we got were good. X the best, can't stress enough. It needs to be ridden at night as well as first ride of the day. I suggest the fast lane pass it you want to get in the night ride. Wow. Thursday was beautiful. Saturday was hot! But good. It you come down here to in May/Early June, I suggest you come at a 6pm closing weekday if you want short lines for X. But I will admit it is nice to see people around the park. Ok I'm rambling. Hopefully I will be there on the 12th. Thanks for reading
