I am visiting the park in November and was hoping to purchase a season pass for the 2006 season that would also get me into the park in November.
When in doubt, use ancient (but effective) technology...

I assume they will have some "specials" next Spring around Solace time like they did this past March. I got a killer deal on a SFMM pass at the Rideworld event.
Right now they are advertising $59.99 which isn't too bad. I could get them much cheaper at Wyandot Lake (the closest SF park to me) but it's much easier just to renew online. ;-) I won't renew till at least March, though.

I'm pretty sure that the 2006 passes do work for the remainder of the season. That's one of the perks that get people to buy one if they might not otherwise. Don't quote me on it, but I think that's the way they do it.

I should have said I was from the UK, international calls cost a fortune.
Also, I have tried to renew online in previous years, but never can since I dont have a US postal address, and can't enter a zip code, the UK postal code is different. *** Edited 10/14/2005 12:25:25 PM UTC by Grant***
They said that they'd be good for the rest of the season at all SF parks and just said to make sure to keep your receipt with you for proof that you bought it during FF.

GAdv's '05 passes were good during the end of '04 which actually meant you could have 2 active season passes at the same time and someone who looked like you could use one (or you can bring a friend for free by giving them your voucher for entrance to the park and then taking the photo ID yourself).
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
Typical SF customer service, eh? ;)

No, that's not how it works, well at least at Magic Mountain, and that's what this topic pertains to...
The season passes that go on sale late November - December-ish can't be used for admission until January 1st of that season the pass was processed for. So no, you can't use you 2006 pass to enter the park in November/December 2005.
That is not what SFKK said and, in fact, they said if any other park was to hassle you about getting in with their '06 pass to have them give SFKK a call because it was "their (SFKK's) fault" because they are not selling any more '05 passes. *** Edited 10/14/2005 7:45:11 PM UTC by redman822***

Last year, SFMM began selling the 2005 Play Passes in mid to late November, and they were good from the time of purchase through all of 2005. I bought mine on Dec. 12th last year, used it that day, and it doesn't expire until 2006.
I would guess that this year will be similar.

Every other Six Flags park does it, so why would SFMM be any different? Granted they are open year round, but still. I think that when they finally do start selling 2006 passes they will be good from the minute you purchase them.
