SFMM / KBF on the weekdays?

First time poster, long time reader. Let me start by saying that you guys and girls have an awesome site!!! I tried searching the forum for the answer to my question but I couldn't really come up with anything. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a love for coasters and am going to take my girlfriend/fiancee/"the boss" to either SFMM or KBF Monday May 9th. I was wondering if anyone would know how crowded these parks have been recently on the weekdays. I haven't been to SFMM in 7 years but the TR's make it sound like it's taking a steady dive (gang bangers, staff, park maintenance, ride downtime). I was wondering if anyone has experienced an improved overall experience on the weekdays at SFMM?

Thanks again!

First, check the "travel tips" thread at the top of this forum.

Second, both parks should have light crowds although you might find a lot of busses at SFMM as more schools do field trips to that park than to the Farm.

Decide what YOU want out of your day. Then talk to your girfriend/fiance/boss and ask her what SHE wants out of her day. If she's looking for variety [coasters, flats, water rides, dark rides, shows, good food] go to Knotts. If she's only looking to ride coasters hit the Mountain.

While SFMM has been improving I still think KBF is giving the better overall experience.

Thanks!! I'm leaning towards SFMM and surprisingly she said "Ok" I warned her that the coasters there are a few notches above KBF. Her first "real" one was Ghostrider and I told her it was pretty tame so I could get her to ride it. As we get to the top of the ramp? and start to make our way over the crest she sees how steep it is and looks at me, I start laughing and as we start going down she yells "You b@st@rd!" and screams all the way through the ride. Needless to say she loved it and went on all of them, so I'm thinking she could do SFMM.

Thanks again!

I've been to KBF and SFMM both on weekdays (but this was in December)-- Knott's was pretty efficient, not as many coasters as MM but overall a great trip, I think there was only one ride not open which was the boomerang, but with that I could care less (hate those things)

Magic Mountain was busier, but there was about 3/16 coasters not running -Ninja, Deja Vu, and another I dont remember. But anyways, The lines weren't that bad especially with the Fast Lane things. Again it was busier (right after Xmas so it was vacation week for schools)

Anyways I hope you have fun!!

Also if you dont want to do a TON of walking up and down hills... go to Knotts =)

And I thought Silver Bullet was awesome- and I only waited 10 mins. with 1 train running *** Edited 5/5/2005 3:31:17 PM UTC by *piXie****

Thanks everyone for the responses! I'm hoping it doesn't rain on Monday.
