SFKK: the positives and negatives

Mmmmmm Fem-mullet
Like the rest of you, coasters are my top priority when visiting a park. However, there are other rides worth mentioning. At Kentucky Kingdom in particular...

l. The Vekoma Giant Wheel. One of the three top wheels in the South/Midwest.

2. The Rafting River, although not as long or fast as most, is the most extensively themed rafting ride anywhere, to a Penguin motif out of Batman.

3. The two carousels rank really highly among carousel enthusiasts. The Adult Carousel is only a three row model, but has galloping roosters and bears, rocking sleighs, and rotating gazebos, intricate detail and a good sound quality. The Kiddieland Carousel has musical instruments rather than animals : you can ride a violin, saxophone or sousaphone.

Agreed Trekker.

Besides the coasters, SFKK has a fairly decent amount of other rides to keep people busy. Add in the 7 coasters and the waterpark during the summer months, and you actually could occupy a whole day at this park easily.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Oh, I forgot one of the most important positives of this park.

You can actually walk around the park freely with a beer in hand. :)

That's *almost* as good as BGT, where you walk around with a free beer in hand....LOL.

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

The one-train op on the coasters was totally acceptable. They wouldn't have even filled more than a couple rows on every train if they had more than one on any of them besides T2 when I went on Sunday. I was happy that there were only two flats down when I went and that the bathrooms were clean and everyone was really nice.

Heres about the whole deal weather you will have a good time at SFKK,

How big the crowd is!

On a slow day or getting there early you can do almost everything as many times as you want.

On a crowded day

Forget it!
