That's where I can't help much. I know there are some Skyline Chili's around, if that floats your boat, but other than that I'm fairly clueless. Sorry!

Head down 264 east to Bardstown Rd or better yet, go a few extra miles to Shelbyville Rd. Not only will you find pretty much anything there, it's also in the opposite direction of Churchill Downs :)

Preston Highway has some stuff too.

Random thought: Maybe the land footprint of the ride is 722 feet long, while the track is 863. Hm, wait, nevermind, that doesn't add up when you factor in the height of the spikes and the loop track. Well, it was an idea.

I was on GL yesterday and the train wasent macthing up with gates, and at one point they kept having to push the train back onto the catch-wagon. I was wondering if the train was manually braked or what, cause it was like every 15 or so rides, the train had to be pushed back to the catch wagon.

Anyway, I loved the ride and it is fast, I mean really short, and there was never even any line there. Even though everyone was on that side of the park. Also it looks as if the queue is going up. There is a patch concrete right to the left of the entrance where the queue will be built, but I doubt it will ever get full.

Thanks for the tips bit0mike, but I was already at the park when you were typing. :) I did end up on Bardstown Rd though (just a couple fast food places there). Yeah, I hear I should have gone down to Shelbyville Rd.

Good thing is GL started running later in the day. They had to push it once while I was waiting also.
I spoke w/ an older guy named Lee in a tan GL shirt that was watching it over near the control panel with a mechanic for awhile after it started running. Anyone know who he was?
I'll try to make a trip report & post in the TR forum tonight.
