SFKK 4-5 Opening day. Free coke and hats

Associated parks:
None

Me and my dad made the 2 hour drive down to Louisville from West Chester and we arrived around 11:05 at the expo center lot and Six Flags kentucky kingdom.

1st on the agenda getting our passes. Went to the ticket window got our vouchers and went in. We also recived a free hat and wristband for free coke all day long. We went and had our passes done. I chatted with a local and the line moved really fast. I also noted sweeps everywhere.
We get inside and get the passes done. we walk out and the 1st ride we decide to ride is Enterprise

I am not going into detail about every ride

My TR from this past Aug is indepth.

After enterprise we goto roadrunner express.
I have my camera in blantent view of the ops, they say nothing It goes with me on the ride. I get some neat pics. This was the 1st time I took a camera on board so it was fun.

After that I decided I wanted to do my 1st skycoaster. I had never flown before. I was scared S***less and I yelled by accadent HOLY S*** I am going to die! Getting down took a LONG time. I didnt mean to cuss but it just came out.
After that I hit the pirate ship for some relaxing.

My dad had never ridden chang so we did that. We went back to twisted twins. Only one side was operating and there was no line.

Went up to thunder run. Last season they had seatbelt extenders well not this year. A no ride :( We mosed around a bit hit T^2 well it hit me. Then we did dino island and stuff.

Improvements was the park was being swept alot. Customer service was mehish. Very good service on T^2 and road runner. Crew of day award goes to sky coaster crew!

Bad things. Cutstomer service wasnt there in the rides dept. again. Very nasty crews on most rides. Thunde run folks were nasty to me and rude. Go carts were not much better again. No one really wanted to be there that worked there. A select few were energetic and took pride in there job.

The free coke was a nice touch and the hat was cool. I wasn't out for coasters today I was with my father and just having fun. I took notice of a few things but all in all it was good

Hey man, good to hear somebody enjoyed SFKK for me today. ;>) I was originally slated to go today, but alas had nobody to go with.

"After that I decided I wanted to do my 1st skycoaster. I had never flown before. I was scared S***less and I yelled by accadent HOLY S*** I am going to die! Getting down took a LONG time."

Pretty awsome huh? :>) The crew is great, and the ride experience there is awesome. Oh, I see you flew by yourself, that takes guts to do for a first time flight. I'm glad you gave it a go.

How does Greezed Lightnin' look from up there? Last time I flew, all that GL consisted of were two rows of orange flags. :>)

Nice to hear about your day, wish I coulda been there!

I put a link to my photos in there so look for yourself. I turned the rez down on my camera to get more pics.

Guts my father is a yella chicken I tellz yah. actually he cant do swingy rides. I was quite scared myself and when I Got up there I rememberd I needed to pee but I couldn't find TTD :) I was Really REALLY scared. The winch they used lunged me forward till the other kicked in so that was a bad moment. I did not close my eyes though. I did the caluations for my velocity in my head thinking of how hard i was gonna crash. I was just so in awe of what I did after I got off.

I was also at the park today and quite a few good rides on my my first coasters of the season. You may have seen me there--I had a red Viper jacket on, my labret (chin) is pierced, as well as my eyebrow, and medium brown hair.
SOM I believe I saw you. Maybe next time I'll use the meeting calander. I cannot believe how effient the season pass processing was. Got my voucher went in took a pic 30 sec later had a card.

I was there as well and saw no buzzers!.. (where were you guys.. )

I will have to disagree with your *niceness* report on Rideops, I thought all of them were very pleasant.. (just a little slow.. but hey how could you blame them.. it was 4o degrees!!.

To report a little more.. They are doing very well on GL construction.. looked like all that is left is Station and Lanch Mechanism work.

Chang was rocking.. although boarding was a nightmare.. (but it is a standup.. so is expected)

TTwins was tracking very well, and the G Trains were actually quite comfortable. I was very impressed.

But the Winner of the Day was by far TR.. I was so surprised as to how wonderful this S&D gem is!! .(I received by far the the smoothest ride on a woodie ever.. thanks to TR.. ) anyone going to SFKK pre SRM.. will be very impressed!

SFKK was doing the free coke & hats deal? I hear that the same thing is gonna take place at SFA's opening on saturday(too bad I won't be there for that :( I'm going on the 13th ).

About the sky coaster,I don't doubt you at all about the "extreme" choice of words during your first flight, hell I said far worse on my first run.

I'm going to go there in two weeks, should I assume that the lines will probably be at a minimum then as well?
For the 1st time I have bruises on my arms. Thanks VEKOMA!

VMan.. it's april.. it's the midwest.. and school is in.. go on a weekday and you'll be set.. I'm sure weekends will have a little bit longer lines due to the lack of multiple trains being run... (but hey in that case waiting for 30 minuites isn't really that long..)

and be prepare your self for a real S&D gem!

I disagree Donny S, 30mins to wait for a one train op coaster is ridiculous (assuming there could be a second train added) and I will *never* think otherwise. The day that it's acceptable to have one train running when there is a need for the second train (barring any mechanical malfunctions, mind you) is the day I will stop visiting parks.

Thankfully there are still a lot of parks who don't share SFKK's enthusiasm for running single trains on their coasters all the time. And those are the parks I would rather go to and spend my money at.

Legendary.. I am in no way shape or form saying I agree with the one train ops, (I hate it.. actually) I was just commenting that 30 minuites is not that long to wait.. (Although I would rather not wait at all.. seeing them maximize compacity by adding trains would be wonderful... I just don't see it happening as low as the parks attendance is. I don't agree with it.. it's just the parks mindset, and I have unfortunatley learned to accept it..

I am really spoiled by having PKI right up the road. I chalk the operation up not caring.
