If I did the math correct, I got only 12 mph. That doesn't sound right. This country needs to switch over to the metric system like everyone else.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.
I met Jay Thomas visiting the park on the way to Holiwood Nights. Very down to earth guy who really seems to care about the park and its future. He treated us to a free lunch and answered questions about the park.
Obviously Shapiro has high hopes for this park as it didn't hit the chopping block. Maybe Papa Johns Pizza having its headquarters in Louisville had something to do with this. :)
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

I met Jay Thomas as well during the last operating day of 2006 in October. He was standing outside the gates saying goodbye to people as they left. I introduced myself and told him that I thought he did a great job with the park in 2006. It looked better than ever, which was amazing since I am sure he had no budget to work with. He was so nice to talk to and he gave me his card and told me to email him with my suggestions about the park. He told me they were thrilled that Kentucky Kingdom was getting money for expanison. After telling me that the waterpark was being expanded in 2007, he also told me to expect a "revised" Northwest Territory section in 2008! He did not specify if there was going to be a new ride or just some remodeling, but I was amazed he mentioned it. It bet if these plans work out, it will have something to do with that area around what was once Top Eliminator Dragsters.
I actually saw Jay in the park earlier. He was roaming the grounds picking up trash and talking to guests and employees. I saw him laughing with employees and patting them on the back. I was impressed with his management style, from what i could see in that brief moment!
I hope he stays at SFKK for a long time. I think the park has a bright future with him at the top!
I develop Superior Solitaire when not riding coasters.
