SFGAv 4/01 - 4/02

Associated parks:
None

Short and sweet.

My wife and I got to the park Monday morning 10am.

Ran to Nitro. Just like we remembered it, airtime heaven! My favorite B&M. After 4 rides with less than 5 minute waits, we were off to Batman.

Batman: Nothing new here, just a great little invert.

Skull Mountain: It was open, so why not! Good starter coaster for kids.

Rolling Thunder: I really want to like this coaster, but it does nothing for either of us.

Viper: I had my doubts about this ride, but rode it anyway. No head banging, but WOW the neck cracking was unreal!

Back to Nitro for 2 more airtime filled rides. Man, I love that thing! After Nitro we were whiped, so back to the Red Roof for us.

4/02 Day 2

Walked through the gates at 10:10am

Went straight to Nitro. Almost no one in line! Sat in our row of choice, row 8 seat 3 and 4.
When we came into the station, nobody was in line for our row, so we rerode 4 more times without moving! The Nitro crew gets a big thumbs up from us. Thanks guys!

Next, Medusa: This is my least favorite floorless, I think the pacing is just to fast for me. Hard to comprehend all of the differant elements.

Next was, you guessed it! More Nitro! 3 more rides for us then it was back to Indiana.

It was a great trip. It doesn't take a genius to figure out our favorite ride.

Only been back an hour and already miss my buddy Nitro!

Did you get any pics of the land clearing?
No we didn't even have a camera with us! Wish we did, because we saw Batman: The chiller valley right below the incline hill! What's the deal with that thing?

Yea I think its something with the train being lighter without the OTSRs
Which day did It valley because at the end of 4/01/02 it was all on the transfer track but did it valley again on you secong visit?

Touch The Sky

Yes, on 4/02 at about 1:30pm. We were walking to Nitro and I saw it go through the top hat, through the barrel roll, go up the incline. It went back down through the roll, then I lost sight of it. Next thing I saw was the train coming back up toward the incline hill, and then it started to valley!

At first I was glad just to see it move, but soon realized it was in trouble. I've been there two years in a row and never got to ride it.
