SFGAm updates Hurricane Harbor construction.

The Chicago park has updated its HH website with construction photos, a bio of the construction superintendant, and a very cool timelapse webcam (check that out).

You even get to see Mr. Six in a hardhat. :)

Thanks Chitown. Man I wish Chicago's Great America would teach San Jose's Great America how to build a waterpark...among other things!

Fate is the path of least resistance.

From the announcement I have wondered what they plan to do in the future as far as expansion goes. Seems the waterpark is show-horned in there... and leaves little room for future growth.

I would guess any expanion would be to the North taking additional space in the parking lot. With the rehabbed North Parking Lot, I don't see any problem.

Also they could remove the Western Access Road if they figure to not reopen the Southern Entrance/Exit. This would add a strip that runs the entire length on the Western edge of HH.

Although I don't think people can enter from Washington St., I do remember exiting to Washinton St. one night this year. I think it's usually open for exiting.
