What specifically do you want to know? If its only been a couple weeks since you have been there, you obviously were at Fright Fest. Nothing really new since you visited. Also, a couple of trip reports are available to read for SFGAm.

I was there yesterday and the only thing I noticed was most of the Shockwave track in the lot.

There was a Flatbed truck or two on site, track is removed up 'till the 90 degree turn, more Superman track has arrived, and thats pretty much it...

Even Shockwave's removal hasnt progressed much in the last couple of weeks. Still the lift hill and first loop.

Maybe they're only taking Shockwave down to the extent necessary to place S:UF, and then reinstalling the "good parts"...;). The rest, of course, will be shipped to Houston....the question THEN becomes will it (Wave) go to Steel Recycling Inc., or to SFAg to serve as a "new to you" Arrow loopscrew...
Yes, these "good parts" you speak of, are they real?

2)Deja Vu's (times 3)
3)Batman Knight Flight's

I was just there today, I noticed they got a few things done this week. They removed all (most) of Shockwaves footers. They cut up the big support that was in the parking lot and put it on a truck, and they also took down the stairs going to what used to be the midcourse brake run. I just posted all the pics I took today on my site linked below.

thanks for the update guys

coaster dude i keep an eye on your site on a fairly regular basis and your photos are great. thanks for posting them.

p.s. it would be awsome if they incorperated the old lift and first loop into a new coaster although it is unlikely. i just hope thare is something of intrest to see next weekend when i go.

I have a funny feeling that SW will be operating for the 2003 season... someplace

Has anyone noticed if they started pouring the footers yet for Superman? With the weather getting colder and with what looks to be a harsh winter, if they dont pour now, they arent gonna pour till spring...

Hmmmmm... Interestin. I really would love to see this ride get a whole new track design after the first loop, there would be pleanty of room for Superman and ShockWave if this did happen. Will it happen? No, Could it? Yes

Actually, Kick The Sky, I thought I noticed some digging going around, but that was from a distance. I could very well have just mistaken that for somthing else.

Hey, Coasterdude316, is that nice, new, blue piece of Arrow track on the banner from one the deconstruction pictures? ;-)

Spur-of-the-moment theory: They needed to get all of those footers out of the way so that the crane has the manuvering room it needs to take out something as big as the lift hill and first loop.

yeah it is (SF)Great America, I have been messing around with the banner alot lately trying to decide which one I like better. To answer Kick the Skys question, no I didn't see any new footers being poured or ready to be poured.
