On the gas station, frankly, I don't remember it, but I have confirmation of it in 1982, and 1986-1988. On the '89 map, the symbol is there, but it is blank instead of saying "Gas." And at least in 1986 and 87, SFGA had a tram system in the parking lot. Another thing I don't recall, but that is why I keep so much GAm stuff lying around the house!
kick,
The last year the root beer stand was open was 1996 selling Flags Root Beer. Our park had some unique touches to it, but I still think the green track of the log flumes is rather unattractive!

- No one answered that yet, and I have no clue as to what stood there. Help would be appreciated :)

The verse went something like: you can (forgot words), ride in space, jump and shout, let it all out, and then come back for mooooooore (image of twicket on screen).

Hey everybody, I just figured out how SFGRAMBoy knows everything about SFGAm! He's Wintrode, didn't ya know!? I guess we were all right, high-ups do visit this site! That is the only way he can know everything about the park!

Hi! I'm Hungry, whats your name?
You know I would have thought you would have given up on your personal attacks on me after your embarassment with the SFOG coaster...oh yeah...I was right, thats right. Check RCDB or look at any pics...they support what I said from the beginning. Of course, you being only 16 and jealous because you don't know anything continue to try and slander me, it is getting rather old. (btw, you really impress people by knowing his name, for real, it does..woo woo!)

EDIT: This is one piece of trivia that I have to rely on my brain. Everything else I have documented somehow. I don't have the original TV spot on tape, just in my head.

Beer, My Baby, and Coasters. Is this a great country or what? ;)
stoogemanmoe, someone over on r.r.c. has part of it in their sig something like "little did we know we had miss our payments on TOTC and our coaster was repossessed!" I tried to listen to it last year, but the sound quality is not very good. This year I didn't hear SFGAm play it the three times I was there for Fright Fest. Also, this year the waterfall was off for Fright Fest, I guess because of a faulty water pump.

Now, the crowds are way too big, there are too many attractions packed into the place making to look even more crowded, all the ride spiels are canned recordings, and most of the employees don't know what they are doing.
Don't get me wrong, I still love the park. I always will. It was just so much better then. The park had the feel of what Cedar Point still has today. A commitment to their customers that is unparallelled in all of the larger parks and that only the smaller traditional parks typically enjoy.
It was this sense of nostalgia that prompted me to put up this quiz. I am so happy to see so much more information that I either didn't know or had long forgotten.
Thanks to everyone for your input and stories. It has been wonderful.
Cheers,

If ANYONE can help us get the song, even in pieces, please post! This coaster used to be the most popular ride in the park, but thanks to complaints about the "satanic" theme it has all but lost it's personality. It's up to us to remember it as it should be!

Alot of you guys brought back some great things from the parks rich history (all 26 years of it, lol). I will say that SF has kept alot of the charm of the Marriott era. However they have removed alot also. Its business as usual I guess.
Does anyone remember the Ferris Wheel they used to have? (Not the Sky Whirl). It was located close to the train station near Iron Wolf.
Also, remember when the Speedway cars used to have a longer track before they installed Splashwater Falls?
