SFGAm Trip. A little help please.

Alright, here's the story. I'm traveling with a group to Six Flags Great America, Saturday, June 30. We will get there at 10:00, when the park opens. What coasters, food, and other things should I not miss? What coaster should I get first? I want to get about all of the coasters except maybe V2. I will go later in the season for that. Also, we are leaving at 5:30. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Coasters: You can miss Demon and Shockwave. The rest are a must. If there is time, go on Shockwave if you like megaloopers, Demon if you like small loopers. The first one you should go on is Viper. It's the best one there.
Food: Funnel cake from the Funnel Cake Foundry in County Fair (I think)

Cyclops. 1900 feet of CCI goodness.
Why don't you want to go on V2. Are you a chicken.
You are crazy.Unless you don't want to wate in line.

Hi Peoples!
My name is rc3268!
What's yours?
Michael Jordan to the Max is a great show. Ride the red side of the American Eagle.
Viper's wait is always long. Raging Bull is a must, as well as Batman and Iron Wolf. Don't Miss American Eagle either, and sit in the back. You can get a Funnel Cake Sundae in a store near either Iron Wolf (Store has lots of gears and stuff), or A store on the side of a yellow building near whizzer. Usually you won't have problems with lines (except V2), and you have to get on V2 by the way. Shockwave will take you 4 minutes to get on, so you should go on it, it is fun on the back, but really ruff so be careful.
Hey, I'm not scared. As I stated, I will be devoting more time to it later in the season.
Fiesta Fries!!
Fiesta Fries!!
Right next to Raging Bulls exit.

There is another place to get funnel cakes. It's right across the path from the bumper cars. If you hit AE, please stick to the red side, the blue side just meanders its way through it's course.

Batman is a must. Viper is a must. Demon rarely has a line as does Shockwave also.
If you can try to plan on arriving a little before 9:30. Once inside the park, head towards Raging Bull, it might just open early. ;-)

Then right at 10 step over to Giant Drop for the first ride of the day which will have no wait for a low-capacity, yet enjoyable attraction.

If you get there at opening, and go straight to it, you won't have to wait long for V2. The other option is buying a Fast Lane pass. $10 and you can ride it 4 times with almost no wait. Bring a Coke can to the ticket booth and get $10 off your admission, and then you'll have the $10 you need for the Fast Lane ticket. Or, skip the funnel cakes - those are more overpriced than the Fast Lane ticket, and if you eat too many you won't fit in V2 when you come back to the park ;).

Otherwise, I agree with the others...go to the Southwest Territory and hit up Viper, Raging Bull & Giant Drop first. Then work your way around the park. I say ride everything unless the line is more than 45 min. If that's the case, then decide based on your prefered style of ride.

PS: I see now that you are going on a weekend - you really, really, oughta consider the Fast Lane pass. I wouldn't go on a weekend without it. *** This post was edited by Joe Carroll on 6/29/2001. ***
Thanks Joe, but we are getting in at $22.50, were a group. *** This post was edited by MFRULES on 6/29/2001. ***
IMO ride everything, but don't blink when you ride Iron Wolf and Batman you might miss it. :)

You are paying a cheap admission price, you are going on a weekend and you're leaving at 5:30. All the more reason to buy a Fast Lane pass. Regardless if you ride V2 or not, it would be a wise idea. Seriously, the lines there are loooooooooooong on weekends. Remember, this is also 4th of July weekend for all practical purposes.

Gee, I should be a Six Flags salesperson or something. ;)
