SFGAm TR: 10/20 (15 minute ride on AE!)

SFGAm Fright Fest! And EVERYONE was there. I was there with my friend who was a supervisor there. I got in with one of his comps. But he forgot to grab his parking pass. Got to the park around 1 and left at 8. The park was decorated with their typical Halloween stuff. Some of it looked ok, some was cheezy (I tend to tear apart themeing and concepts) Now to the good part: The Coasters!

Deja Vu: (Wait: 20 min - no ride) The ride was working this morning, but when I got there, they were closed. People were getting upset. But it reopened later in the afternoon, with a line extending to were the Russian Circus is. Then it broke down again. The train was trapped between the second tower and the loop. The ride closed for the rest of the day. I will have to wait until next year.

B:TR - (Wait: 1 hr. 20 min) This was the first time I did this ride first. It was more intense than I remembered. It is still one of my favorites. It packs a punch.

Raging Bull - (Wait: 1 hr. 45 min) Still my favorite. A very smooth ride with bouts of airtime. The first drop is still the most frighting thing there is (probably until I ride MF next year). Note: the line started at Viper's entrance.

American Eagle - (Wait: 45 min) I wanted to ride Viper, but the line was shorter. I sat 1-2 on the Blue side. It is still a good ride, but it needs some work. It needs a little lovin. The first drop is great. Overall, a fast paced ride with airtime and a great helix! When I got to the break run, the car in front of us had a lapbar stuck. We sat on the break run for 10 minutes. When we got back, we got a re-ride! They told us to stay in our seats if we wanted to ride again! Everyone (except the people still in line - could have been me) was very happy. It was a surprise in my day!

V2: My friend talked to the other supervisors about V2. Here is what they think happened.. The power used in the ride was not properly discharged. When they powered up the ride again, it created a huge power surge. (You get the picture...)

Overall, a very good day. I wished I did more, oh well. Not bad for free. I wished I went to a haunted house. Maybe next year. I hope you enjoyed this..

My friend hinted about what SFGAm is getting next year. They mention it is something BIG. I don't know what that means, I guess we will have to wait.

I believe they are getting a huge ferris wheel for next year.

Too bad I love impulse coasters.

LOL, a big fat SHOW! I don't really mind though, 2 coasters in one year (might i add, two excellent coasters) is enough to keep me happy for a few years:)

One hour and 45 minutes for Raging Bull? That's crazy, and that the line was near Viper's entrance. If I went there on the 20th, I would leave because I wouldn't wait in those kind of lines.

I waited two hours in the freezing cold last year for Raging Bull during Fright Fest, and it was the most incredible experience on RB I have ever had. Probably one of the greatest coaster experiences i have ever had!! Every sensation on RB seemed to be magnified by the coldness and the gust of wind. I was riding back seat so i got some unbelieveable airtime.

sethman- the chilliness of the air made both Raging Bull and American Eagle incredible rides (better than June - except for the waits)

StealthmF5m3- The crowds were very bad... Overflow parking was packed and we arrived just before 1:00. The line of Raging Bull and Viper were crossing each other (RB was going one way, Viper was going the other) Many people were leaving because of the crowds, but that did not make a big difference.

Question to who posted this? Is your friend a park service supervisor, since he thinks something big is coming in next year. It would make sense, since every year at the park they think they know more about the rides, then the rides department and any other department for that matter. If he was a supervisor what the heck is he doing coming into the park during Fright Fest, I can't believe his department even granted him permission to enter!! How is he going to grab his parking pass once it is already stuck to the glass in his vehicle??? What kind of supervior is this guy if he comes into the park and gets information on V2, with what you said it sounds like he was talking to his park service buddies or MAYBE even a food supervisor, thinking that what you said was the problem. When you tell a story make sure you make it believable, since there are people out here that actually know how the park works.

Calm down Eagle OP!!!! Its not that serious.

I dunno Chitown, I see where Eagle OP is coming from. I see a lot of people who work in different departments at CP posting incorrect information when I know better, and it really irks me, like these people are giving CP employees a bad name or something. (See: Lemon Chill guy)

Maybe, and that's a big maybe, we will get something big next year cuz we kind of got screwed over this year with all of they delays...then again, why would they care. But another thought is, these two rides didn't cost that much in comparison to the largest rides in the world: Steel Dragon, Millennium Force, S:RoS, Raging Bull, etc. Maybe we are in for a surprise!!!

Or a BIG renovation to one of the shops!

New flats are a good thing. Just dont get rid of the remaining classics(Except for Power Dive). This park has a well-rounded collection of coasters so I really dont care if they add another for the next couple of years.

Heck, V2 was basically the new coaster of 2001. Most people will view Deja-Vu as the new coaster for 2002.
