SFGAM to Open New Mardi Gras Themed Area

LOL could you imagine if they didn't have it open for opening weekend? What a hike it would be to get back to V2!

Joe, who really hopes they have it open as I'll be there for opening day!

Where did you hear that Carlo? Tim Black said at NCC the new area would be ready for opening weekend...

Tim Black did say it would open on May 1st. But I really don’t mean the area I mean all the new rides should be open by May 14th, 2004. (Subject to change without notice) The actual area will most likely be open on May 1st. Media day is going to be in May which shows that some or all the new rides will not be open on May 1st. The Daily Herald reports that all the rides should be in operation when Daily Operation begins.

So in other words, you don't know. :)

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

I would be _extremely_ suprised if the park didn't have all the new attractions open on the first day of daily operation (barring technical difficulties).
Im sure they are rushing these things to be ready for opening day too because they havent exactly had a steller recent past (V2 didnt open till June, Deja Vu of course still isnt regular, and S:UF wasnt up till Memorial Day) and this is an excellent year for them to rectfy that since off the shelf flats and mice should be able to go as soon as they are up.

2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

S:UF was Open for Opening day. (May 3rd) I believe it even was open for 1 of the buyouts.

Seems like the B&M coasters just go up nice and smooth. Haven't remembered the last time a B&M opened late. They always seem to be on time.
